I share the same opinion. I think Carr will have the better career and I would pick him to win later in the season. I don't think it's unrealistic to believe that Young has the advantage at this point. He is a legitimate title contender and we haven't seen Carr wrestle in the starter role yet.
I don't see Brands ducking the match unless Young sustains some sort of injury beforehand
The only starter I could see Brands holding out is Kemerer. That guy has been injured for a while, sounds like they’re going to limit his mat time to keep him fresh for NCAA’s.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he ducks with guys that are healthy. He's pretty well known for that
I get why you hate the Brands, but I think after last year they will come in here with a point to prove and try to stick it to us.
He wrestled at 157
Hartman wrestled at 157 last weekend at Bearcat Open in Binghamton. He had two falls and a tech, but fell in the semis.

Is this a thing? I know they held out a guy two years ago that was either sick or hurt. Not sure I’d call that ducking. Were there other times?
That's really what you did ask though. Brands is very well known for ducking but you already knew that. He's an orange
So DC doesn’t get the test from Hartman that we’d hoped for. Also we won’t get Gremmel vs Hoffman (top twenty match).
It’ll be a great way to start the season for Chase at 165.
No, I specifically asked about other times. Regardless, I’m asking now for examples. The wrestling coach I associate with ducking is Tom Ryan. Not aware of the Brands reputation so looking for more info.
