Well, first weekend of legal betting. How'd you do?

I saw Iowa -22, ISU -22 and Nebraska -36 and wisely stayed away from them all.

Did get my account set up and took Chiefs 10.5 on the over. Got my $50 bonus.

I had read that every casino in Iowa - except one - had applied for and received a license to offer sports gambling.

The Wild Rose casinos have info on their website but I don't know if they are active.

As far as I know Meskwaki does not have theirs

Has anybody been able to bet on who will win the conference championships because it will not let me

Does anyone have a way to download all sportsbook odds?
Either an XML feed or an API, without spending a fortune?
The best free site I have found is VegasInsider. It gives a good mix of the biggest internet sites and Vegas casinos. It never made sense to pay for odds at all casinos when I can get a good “proxy” from one site.

Houston +22: W

So 12-4 with a lot of money on the ISU over and Iowa 2H spread so it was a good weekend. Gonna be taking a lot lighter this week cause last week was too nerve wracking

I'm up 32.5% since it started and My philosophy is pretty simple. I almost exclusively bet the in-game options on the app right before I think something big is going to happen. Now, my bets are in the $5 to $10 range so nothing major but if you do several of them they add up.

For example, in the Notre Dame /Louisville game Louisville had the ball at the end of the first quarter down seven about to score. There was an in-game bet for the line at the end of the first quarter of Louisville + 4 1/2. So if they scored a touchdown or a field goal I would cover the bet.

Had a first last night. Did a parlay on a baseball game but forgot to take a picture. Watched the game nervously and thought I'd won my bet, only to get on the app to show it settled as a loss. I must have input the bet differently than I remembered.

So that kinda sucked.

Say what now?

Man, Meadows must be regretting this decision. Everyone is cleaning house.
I know you are being sarcastic but typically the first 3 weeks are the weeks to make the money because the sports books are still trying to figure out teams and lines. So those that say they are going to wait till later in the year to do it are starting at a lose right away

They have in game bets on the app. You can have your app open and bet as the game goes on and the sportsbook moves the game lines, quarter lines and over/ unders as the plays go on. You can bet on them as the game goes on. His example was that the book had Louisville at +4.5 for the quarter and they were down 7 at the time and about to score so he put in a bet real quick that Louisville would cover the 4.5 points. Usually these lines dont pay out that well because they are easier to win so you might bet $20 and only win $13 off of it.

So you’re telling me they don’t know the teams but the people here do?

That is exactly right. I bet something like $5.25 to win $10. So, small bets, but overtime they add up if you pay attention.

I used to go to the casino a lot and lose and so I figure doing these small bets scratches that itch plus they don't hurt if I lose.

My biggest win was for MN United to beat LAFC (which they did) for 12/1 odds.

Missed hitting a 6 team parlay because of Mississippi St not covering -20.

Two really bad beats in Auburn's ridiculous cover against Oregon and Dabo's decision to kick a 52 yard field goal when up by 35 with 3 minutes to go in the game (had Ga Tech at +37).

Not what im saying. I am saying the lines are not put where they should be so the public (which takes the favorite most of the time) wins more games

10 for 12 so far and 1 of the losses was oregon which was brutal.
