I'm not sure why guys are still hung up on Kempt. This isn't even a question. Yes, he did go down and beat OU. Had some great games last year. LAST YEAR. As a defense, you don't have to respect his arm as much, see Iowa. He can't run and they could just get pressure barely rushing anyone. Great game manager, but if ISU wants to take that next step, especially with a limited OL, we need options. Purdy with the read option and ability to throw opens up lanes for rbs and can still throw over the top if they key in on him. The playbook opens up immensely. I've been wanting some play action passes the last few weeks, we finally see some great play fakes and bombs down the field with completions, it was amazing. He made plays that didn't look like a freshman could even carry out, on the road. Even if OSU had a bad defense, I don't think Noland would have put up those numbers. Noland's been overthrowing a lot lately. Great arm, but Brock just has the complete package. ISU just looked like a faster team out there Saturday. Let's not overthink this.
