I'd do something with clear mono string or something that they could trip on when they ran off.

As fun as that sounds it sounds like some work. Going to try and talk to the kids/parents about it but we are not far from getting the police involved to try and scare something into them but we would probably need proof it was them to do that so we will be investing in a wifi camera before then.

Last time they were hiding behind a neighbors van. This time they were riding around on their bikes and I noticed bike tracks through the grass.

Yeah it's something I would screw up and trip on myself.

I'd say talking to the parents/kids is logical.

Yeah it's an annoyance right now but they do wake the kids up/hinder bed time when they do it. Also makes me wonder why us? Once I could see but if it is a trend do they have us pegged for something or what? I also did dumb stuff like this but it wasn't a regular occurrence at the same place so I am somewhat sympathetic to it but spread the love around and go bother someone else or find something better to do with your time.

I have never even talked to these kids and generally wave/smile/laugh at whatever they are doing/playing when we drive by.

i'm limited in options in a town of a couple thousand. Dollar generals are everywhere. Get a box of 24, sometimes if I pay attention I can find boxes of 12 for 10% less and buy two of those. I figure if i left town to buy it would double the price with gas money and I'm cheap enough to not do that.

The local co-op had free coffee if you ventured in for a morning coffee crew but the manager wasn't keen on that so he basically booted everyone out.

What the heck does his wife run the local Casey's? I have no idea if the local Coop has coffee for customers even. Weigh tickets are at Semi height at end of scale no one ever leaves their truck anymore.

In the last week I have seen 2 guys on 2 separate occasions wearing shorts that were much shorter than normal. We are seeing another shift in "fashion."

At least they weren't cargo shorts. View attachment 57378

Were they runners? Some runners like to wear pretty short shorts when running. Or were they like the old 70's BB shorts high & tight?

He just doesn’t like a herd sitting in the office. He actually lives an hour away. Not sure where his wife works.

Piggy backing off of @BoxsterCy humidity post earlier. At a local HS xcountry meet on Saturday 5 athletes were taken to the hospital and 13 others were treated at the scene for heat related illnesses.

Boo that. Will spare long story about trip to emergency when friend I was running with heat stroked out during a 10K ran I was running with her. She ended up okay but that was pretty scary in the ER. Only time in about 40 or 50 races that I had to slow down to a jog because of heat before running and "racing" again after a few hundred yards.

Disconnect the doorbell for a few weeks. No ding dong, no fun for the little *******. No fun and they stop doing it.

Just a random young guy in a bar and the other was just walking down the street. Definitely not out for a run.

Oh joy. Had the "Don't know which (HS) class to go to because I never got a schedule" dream last night. That's about the third or fourth time in my adult life of having that dream. Always high school...never college.

This is not to be confused with "Go and march the band field show you never, ever practiced" dream.

Not exactly sure.
Back in the day, my favorite late-night commercial was for Lincoln Tech. A young man proclaimed that "my options are wide open--automotive or diesel"

There was one for a welding school where the guy proclaims, I have a motorcycle, an apartment, and a girlfriend; I have all that stuff. Didn't know that was when you had made it in life.
