Pants the book Red Sparrow is much better than the movie.

Got a phone call today from a friend of mines wife, he had heart valve replacement surgery last wk thought things were going well, passed away yesterday. Ferk. Visitation/funeral sometime next wk.

Raining pretty good right now. Damn internet not working at hotel left and am using another places.
Sorry about your friend, Ndubs...

They will be fine, just keep them in the shade and watered. As long as they don't dry out they be good. I divide mine in the spring but lots of people recommend dividing/moving in the fall, either works.
We’ll probably save some, but I have several varieties in the back yard already. If anyone wants some let me know. Of course you’d need to come to Ames.

I already have about 15 varieties that are taking over. Don't know what your department is like, but in mine, people used to bring lilies, hostas, etc and leave themt on the loading dock of the building, and send out a departmental email saying take them, they're free. They were usually gone within the first hour. :D

Well, you were in a flora dept. I’m in the main fauna dept. where they’d probably prefer steaks or chops. Worth a try though.

@GTO and @cyclones500 and @Cyclones_R_GR8 , have any of you seen a movie called "Eden Lake"? From 2008, about a young couple terrorized in a wooded area by a group of young punks. Watched it last night, very well done but unrelentingly grim. Kelly Reilly and Michael Fassbender star.
I'm about 35 minutes into this. Movies were people continually do stupid stuff drive me crazy.

Anyone seen this? On Netflix now. Got decent reviews when released.

So come back after my Sconnie weekend (it was five stars, for sure!) to find that I, like @BCClone, am getting CNE's alerts.

After lunch I finally logged in and am back to normal. Well, as normal as RTT gets, anyway.

Had a fabulous fish fry Friday night, great retirement party for my brother on Saturday, even got to play some sheepshead. (Wondering if @WooClone15 or @cowgirl836 or @stormchaser2014 know how to play it.)
Can't say that I do.

Sorry about your buddy NW. Never easy to take.

Slow-moving, but thoughtful.

Need more slow-moving and thoughtful....in movies and everywhere. Good lord do we need it. The instant indignation online warriors have really gotten boring. It is kind of cool to watch a movie from 1970-76 or so when it was fashionable to have no soundtrack.....no noise buzzing in the background or piano chords to manipulate your emotions.....not all great, but different.
Wes Studi is one of those dudes who is Always good.
