That just seems wrong but maybe it will be ok. It would be pretty cool if Tom Selleck got a guest appearance some how.

I don’t know. The Hawaii 5-0 reboot was good.

The main character most definitely doesn’t look like Tom Selleck (unsure whether its the SAME character or not, only saw it on the tv at the gym)

So I post a message to local alumni asking for suggestions for a happy hour or social gathering for alumni. Stated to keep in mind that not everyone shares the beer only brewpub craze. Some people don't drink and others like wine or other options or might be interested in a place with actual food. So, pretty much every suggestion back is from guys touting their favorite brewpub. o_O

"Mmmm, I am loving this 15% ABV Bavarian Stormmeister Acorn and Bacon Infused Stout. Hey, how come none of the alumni gals come to these?"

Well, no one likes my suggestion of Fair State.

Does anybody else have reaction icon OCD? Once I make a decision to click a reaction icon to a post, I then spend a much longer amount of time agonizing over which one to click.

If there are already two icons there, one of them is 2x and one is 1x, then it's an easy decision. I click the 1x one, to balance them so they both are 2x.

But sometimes there are four or five already, and each is 1x. I can't choose one of the already selected ones, because that would unbalance them. But there may not be an appropriate reaction left that hasn't been clicked. I wouldn't want to dislike a post, or tool someone, just to click on one.

Why does it have to be so difficult?!
I would like to have one that’s a big circle and space to type in what I really want it to mean. No more agonizing over choices. I just say it.

Apparently I butt dialed an Uber this afternoon while building my little garden bridge. Saw like 10 apps open and was getting and had ignored a number of phone calls. Nope, don't know that number, ain't answering. Guess it was the Uber dude. He could not find my house so maybe I won't get charged as he cancelled.

If you got to the point where he came to you, if he waited 5min then you'll get charged like $5 or so.

The most corrupt state in the nation (politically speaking), though Chicago probably skews the average.

They've got problems down in Springfield too.

Large reason why I won't move back to Illinois. No state is perfect...but some are less than desirable.

Last day of our store being open to customers is 8/25, with the day to turn over the keys being the 26th. Tick. Tock.

I got in a mini argument with a friend over helping out homeless guys outside our closest 7/11. I'll take any **** you guys give me but I refuse to give "just" money. My friend is the exact opposite.

Today we were walking past the 7/11 to our apartment complex and one homeless woman asked us for money, he stopped and gave her some but me being all electronic dude I am, didn't have any cash. Another guy asked us for a Coca-Cola as we were walking into the 7/11. I said "you got it" and got him a damn Coke with the rest of my stuff.

Then my friend got real mad at me because I would give someone a Coke instead of money. Regardless of the fact that I didn't have cash on me, they made me feel like I was some sort of uppity guy.

Personally if any homeless person asks for a specific item that's under a few bucks outside the store I am walking into, I'll buy it for them 90+% of the time. If you ask me for just money? It's less than 10% and it's mostly because I don't carry cash. But if a guy wants a $1.50 Coke? **** yea I'll buy it for him! I've even made chili dogs for some guys outside that 7/11 because they asked for it.

This is a longer rant than I wanted but it pisses me off that people will give money willy nilly but refuse to give an actual item that they're requesting an look down upon people that do so.

End Rant
