Just channel flipped into Island hunters and it's a couple looking at vacations spots. Looking at over the water bungalows in Bora Bora. Only $25,000/week to $35,000/week. JFC.

I like watching the show where they buy an island. All I can think of is what happens when there’s a hurricane?

Just to clarify, I was laughing at the “test ride” line.
I figured. :D

I'm actually really excited about that part. I've purposely been (mostly) chaste this past year and a half. I've had lots of opportunities to date (and more) but I've got a lot of dysphoria wrapped up in the OEM parts that God gifted me. Once things get fixed down there, it's on.

Lol, I'm going to get slut shamed so bad. DGAF though.

* There, finally some truly TMI stuff!

I would give it a winner but it is the Cardinals after all. Just above that Dobbs sign in LF is where we sat in June and watched da Cubs go off and LittleWx got a ball from the Cubs bullpen because cute 3 year olds just standing there and watching are a lot more appealing than 1,000 others begging for a ball.

Just got back to the hotel. It was an amazing game, especially the last third. Ate a **** ton of free food, and the Cards won on a walkoff, so even better. The GF has taken a picture of the arch from about every angle possible today.

Tomorrow brings the unfortunate trip back to reality, luckily I dont have to be at work until Thursday.

(deep breath) Okay, so I have to say it: when you said "test ride", the first thing that popped into my mind was that you would be kind of a reverse cowgirl. I wasn't sure until I read this post, hope I haven't gone too far.

(waiting for blowback from everyone)

So tomorrow I take the vixen to the Wolfe Surgery Center, where she will get the first of her two cataract surgeries done. She has worn glasses most of her life, and is super excited about not having to anymore (except for reading). She is also nervous - squeamish about having something done to her eyeball while she's conscious - and so I told her that it's pretty much like a colonoscopy, they give you something so that even though you are conscious, you don't remember anything. I don't know that she believes me.

Anyway, good thoughts and prayers would be most welcome. Heaven knows she deserves them!!!

Our anniversary is July 5, we spend the 4th of July holiday in Omaha with relatives. Some years it is all extended family, some years just a family or two. Take in a minor league baseball game with tailgating before, watch fireworks from the outfield, then have our own fireworks show at hubby’s cousin’s house. Kids play, most years we make a trip to the zoo—which is usually where we end up on the 5th. This year softball regional game was July 3rd so we missed our annual tradition. :(
Wife and I went to Omaha on our 26th anniversary. Did all day at the zoo, and spent the night at an older hotel in the older downtown district (Old Main??). Anyway, went to some shoppes and had dinner and some craft beers at a joint. Got the Omaha Craft Brew booklet, where you can get a free beer at different locations. Had a really good time.

So, got home last night, and went to pull into back into the driveway-- and it's full. Hit the garage door opener, and the door moved up about 2" and stopped. Asked Wifey-poo to give me a hand with it, but when I looked up, the two main springs were broke.

Earlier this summer, during the July heat wave, we were having some minor trouble with the door sticking about 2' up, but if you held the button on the remote down, or gave it a manual assist, it would open. Thought at the time that, due to a miscalculation by the wife on how much the garage door was open in relation to her backing out, and thus putting a bend in the bottom panel, that it was probably a combo of that minor damage and the heat expanding the door. My bet now is that one of the springs was broken at that juncture -- never occurred to me at the time.

I'm now wating on a return call from the overhead door company I called to get back to me on a fixit schedule.:(

Olde Market. I stayed at the Courtyard at 10th & Douglas once. It's converted from some old factory. I haven't been to the zoo in about 10 years. There's been lots of changes since then.

If she's worn glasses all her life it has to be more than just removing cataracts. I don't know everything that entails but when I had Lasik I remember every second of it.

I gave it a winner despite it being the Cards. :( Those seats are incredible!

I can't watch it on TV anymore unless it's October, and I honestly think (competitive college or pro) softball is more entertaining.

But a day at the ballpark? That beats everything.
