Was outside mowing, weeding and pruning. Heat index popped to 102 so enough of that. Back inside where it is 75 and feels like I should be putting a sweater on. Brrrr.

First round of thunderboomers went north of us. Expecting more to brew up though.

This explains why we encountered Boxster's sloth at the Henry Doorly Zoo. (Boxster was busy, so his sloth migrated)

And it is tough to see because it was all curled up, but we believe Boxster's sloth is up in the branch...

Had to babysit Anheuser Busch last night. Got called this afternoon for another client so there went 4 hours. Just left.

Vacation is over

Did get back in time for softball. Went 4 for 4 batting lead off again. 3 singles and a triple. Had a pretty sweet catch in left field. Lost a ball in the little sun we had.

Gf didnt attempt to castrate anybody, so overall, it was a win win

Ran to Wal-Mart for a quick, fill-in grocery run.
Guy in front of me at the checkout was my last roommate with the library study room.
His defense went well, too. His prof moved to UC Davis, I guess, and is taking this guy along as a postdoc.

I'm doing some job searching for my advisor right now. She doesn't know, but it's for the best.

We picked 17lbs of strawberries this morning. DH wasn't going to let me do too much but I'm a much better picker. I picked like 1.5 buckets in the time he did 1. Got those all cleaned, sliced, and frozen. Then made a double batch of pizza dough - some for pizza baby tonight and froze the other half for future me & DH. Got all the baby clothes/blanket stuff washed, DH came in from mowing and planting our last replacement plant and put the back on the dresser. So now I can put stuff in drawers. Now he's changing water filter and pizza is about ready. Was hoping to make another batch of energy balls tonight and go for a walk but I don't think the latter is going to happen at this point. The sliced strawberries macerating in the fridge are likely to end up on ice cream later though

I even took a nap earlier this afternoon; I was a bit tuckered after berry picking.

It’s a huge condo complex. The lobby is about a mile up the hill.

The more I think about this my wife is the oldest of four and they largely all grew up in a three bedroom house. They always had to share. They have also been coming down here with their entire extended family and doing just this people sleeping all over the place and no private spaces. Not to mention the expectation that you are always together all week.

I grew up in a three bedroom house with four people and we never went on vacation with anyone else. I never had to share anything and always had my space.
