Our neighbor just had to replace his. Evidently, they've changed the code on the PVC venting pipe (the old stuff had some sort of semi-flammable something inside of it). It was going to cost thousands of dollars to do it to code so he just hired some independent dude to install it using the existing vent pipe.

Of course the new water heaters are quite a bit different height than the old ones. (Learned this with the last one 1 1/2 years ago). I don’t like brazing for house stuff otherwise I would do it myself. Last one was 1100 with no labor cost. (This is when he asked for a favor and I ended up 20 miles away for the whole day.)

OO! Oooo! I know this one! Join rec sports :) It is volleyball season right now - there's probably 5 bars in your area doing a summer sand league. Ask the youngish coworkers (if you have any) at your office.

1. stories to entertain us
2. to make fwiends
Civic organizations are a pretty good way to meet people (Lions, Rotary Club...). I've known a couple of people that met most of their friends in new areas that way. Also, a number of people I know have met through volunteer work in the community or in their church. People are generally pretty happy and friendly when they're doing this type of thing.

Many of my jobs came through the rotary club. They have/had some old school rules when I was there. Relaxed some since I think.

The Lions clubs seem to be moreso drinking organizations so joining them may be the way to meet people for social purposes.

Also, @WooClone15, it's a good idea to walk around your new community at night and look for colored lights above doors in dark alleyways. Just walk right in the door to meet new, exciting people. It's casual. They won't care what you wear.

For the first time in several months I was in LifeTime to work out and big silcone bewb hooker/stripper gal was not there "working" out.

I go in on random days and random times three or four times a week and she is there every single time doing super slow treadmill or super slow stair climber or super light weights. It's just weird. Wears leopard print stuff. Also has poofed up '80's big hair. Also kinda weird.

In seriousness, I dated a top heavy woman for a bit and She didn’t exercise at a fast pace much at all. Once after inviting her to go on a run with me she explained. When those things got in motion, they kinda took over so she had to limit the pace This woman was natural so I don’t know if the silicone ones are more manageable.

I think becoming an EMT would be good for Woo. Meet new people and clients at the same time. Wouldn’t have to follow the ambulance and guess names, it would all be there already.

...the pics thing...

DH said last night the windows in the baby's room are delaminating or something? I thought he just did a poor job washing them last year. It looks just like that, if you left a streaky, dotted window after using the wet side of the squeegee and not the dry side to wipe it dry. He said it was like that last year when he tried to clean them. IDK a better way to describe it. Obviously these are newish windows but IDK if it's something that would fall under any kind of warranty.......I'm guessing window warranties are longer than three years but maybe not? Also not sure if this is just something cosmetic or an actual problem. Mmmmm.

My middle daughter, who just graduated from nursing school, interviewed for a new job at Hennepin County Hospital (where she has worked as a CNA in emergency, 2nd shift). Interviewed at 11:30 am, hired at 2 pm. Taking her boards this Friday.

It's only a couple of blocks from me.

We haven't talked pointy elbows in awhile. Well, don't think I ever did but here goes, I have one! Noticed recently a pointy thing on my right elbow. Starting to hurt some. Seem to have grown/growing a bone spur.

Hear those are all the rage #Coachprohm etc.

This, plus more really rural tavern hawks aren't likely to be very liberal folks or even spent enough time in Iowa City to even recognize that it might be somewhat liberal. Okay, stereotyping, but I like to do that about small town Iowa.
That's ok. I'm sure they stereotype city-slickers like you (or me).;)

Sent you a PM of where I am. If anyone else wants to know, just let me know and I can share that too. I really should join my county bar association and the local pipe band, but I'll need to see about the young professionals, they may be a bit too much of try-hards haha.

Nah, not an innuendo, more a joke considering how unsexy the bagpipe actually is haha. And I'll take the bolded as a complement
I'm going to PM you, Woo. I wouldn't mind knowing where you are, plus I have a client I need to refer to a Wisconsin lawyer. It may not be up your alley or in your region of geographic dominance, but I'm guessing you and your firm know more Sconnie lawyers than I do!

There is a definite rule that women can only run as fast as their natural boobs will allow. Sports bras have a tendency to smash the girls flatter so that there's less bouncing...but you can only smash so far...
