Permission to board the Random Thoughts train? To be honest I have lurked for the entirety of this thread and the majority of the last thread and at this point I figure I might as well contribute. Let me know where to send my résumé and cover letter; I feel I can bring a good amount of wit and sarcasm to the table (if that is allowed in here)!
In the absence of CG, I have one question. How the hell can you be on this site for four and a half years, and only have 28 posts?????

I suppose I can start by introducing myself and @cowgirl836 can decide if I'm worthy.

I grew up in a small town in west-central Iowa (I was class president of a class of 54 which is partly why I decided to finally post). I went to Graceland University for a year and double majored in Ag Business and Computer Science before deciding that Iowa State was truly where I needed to be. My dad went to Iowa State so we had been going to games/events for as long as I can remember and it was only through extenuating circumstances that I ended up at Graceland, but I think I always knew that Iowa State was home. So I transferred to Iowa State to major in Ag Systems Technology. I completed one semester in that field (pun intended) and did a co-op internship with Ag Leader for a semester before deciding that while I have a passion for agriculture; I couldn't see myself having a career that would challenge me and utilize the skills that I felt were my strengths. Towards the end of that spring, a family member mentioned an internship with a land surveying/civil engineering firm in northwest Iowa, and I decided that I might as well interview just to see what would happen. They hired me even though I had no previous experience and I loved every minute of the internship. So I have just finished my first year of Civil Engineering at Iowa State and have started my second summer with the engineering firm in northwest Iowa. The goal is to eventually get both my Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor licenses but that's a ways down the road yet. Four majors and three years later I think I may have finally figured out what to do with the rest of my life.

Regarding things other than school; I love any and all outdoor activities, photography, The Office, sports, terrible jokes, and running (hence the username). Feel free to interrogate me further; I tend to be a pretty easy-going guy!

I had two majors in 4 1/2 years, been out for 24 years and still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up. So you are way ahead of me.

Geez you guys, I feel like Beetlejuice now!

We need to know opinions on narwhals, baby pineapples, and I was going to say job and stuff but that's covered. From what I can tell, Runninman is a youngin.

I actually lurked for much longer before that so I've probably been around for about 6 years. Interestingly, I consider myself to be pretty tech-savvy, but when it comes to social media I am totally clueless so I generally try to keep a low profile (see, I really like puns). I suppose this website falls under the same category. I love reading what everyone else posts but by the time I get around to posting something either someone else has already posted it or I decide it probably isn't worth posting. I think that's why the idea of a Random Thoughts Thread interested me. Who cares what I post; it's random!

I turned 21 in February. As far as pineapples go, I like them as long as they aren't on pizza. Glazed over sliced ham is the best way to eat them. Baby pineapples, however, probably shouldn't be eaten in any case.

@RunninMan

Running is cool but most of us are fans of the Emily Blunt workouts.
