Awwww. Poor Lindsay. I feel really sorry for her......................... naw, not really.

Lohan might have been a good fit around the time Mean Girls came out (which was 14 years ago!).

So, you know how you are very much "Ben Barnes for Batman" - I think I'm going to do the same for Mackenzie Davis as Barbara Gordon/Oracle

She was in possibly the best episode of Black Mirror (San Junipero) and was also in The Martian and Blade Runner 2049.

Eh, sure. Just don't know much about her. Her pictures make her look pretty thin and frail, but people can definitely change their bodies some for parts. For now, I'll take your word for it. As for the Lohan 14 years ago comment, totally agree.

With my campaign for Ben Barnes as Batman, while I'm still in that camp, reports seem to indicate that Jake Gyllenhaal is really who Reeves wants in the role if Affleck is out. Truthfully, with every day that passes, I'm starting to warm up on Jake. Just wish he was about 4 inches taller. Physically, you need only to watch the movie Southpaw to see how jacked Jake can get to fill the suit.

Been pushing this off, but now that DC has come out and said that the title of the DC Extended Universe isn't real and completely made up by fans, does everyone think I should change the title of this thread to something like the DC Films Universe???? One problem is that people at DC never really gave us an official name in its place. They just called it DC Films. With that said, if I get more people saying yes than no, I'll change it.

Here is the official plot synopsis for Shazam!:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

The article also says that Dwayne Johnson is listed as a producer on the film.

Never heard of Cheetah but I didn't really follow wonder woman as a kid outside of the justice league

I'm no expert, but Cheetah is pretty much the only Wonder Woman villain I've known of through the years, and I also believe she is Wonder Woman's #1 villain in general.

Latest rumor is that if the government ends up blocking the AT&T-Time Warner merger, then Time Warner will then look to piecemeal sell off its divisions. This would be very interesting as where would the Warner Bros/DC department land? Disney?????? Not likely, but crazy thought.....

That's a lot to chew on. I doubt Disney would be able take on WB and DC Entertainment. I actually think WB would be more up Disney's alley as they would corner the kids market with owning the rights to the Looney Tunes, The Lego Movie Franchise, Scooby Doo & Harry Potter. A new Space Jam, or better yet, a new take on Who Framed Roger Rabbit would be a great new franchise of films that Disney could use to balance out the MCU and the ability to replay the HP films on this new streaming service would be a no-brainer.

Yeah, if Disney bought Warner Bros, that would be what you'd call a monopoly, which I'm not sure the government would let go through.

https://www.thewrap.com/todd-phillips-joker-batman-80s-comedian-scorsese-king-of-comedy-scorcese/

Really bizarre story regarding the non-DCEU Joker film: Rumor is that Todd Philips Joker origin movie (where Joaquin Phoenix would play the Joker) would take place in the 1980s and portray the Joker as a failed comedian, which is similar to the Joker's back story in The Killing Joke. What makes this even more interesting is that Martin Scorsese is still attached as a producer for the film and that this Joker movie would be an homage to Scorsese's 1982 film, "King of Comedy" which starred Robert DeNiro as a failed comedian.
