Only 9 day left till we are all totally annoyed by Justin Timberlake....but the marketing and branding apparatus industry will tell us all how much "we" all love Justin Timberlake.

I'm learning to fly.
The marketing and branding apparatus industry can tell me anything they want but they'll never convince me of that.

I'm and ABATE member too......we get it.
Oh well....we'll still try to fight the good fight for everybody else too when the gulags start. It will happen fast when it does.

A couple here in CR were on House Hunters last night and I DVRd it. This should be fun...he wants a historic craftsman style and she wants brand new ranch (of which there are PLENTY to choose from here). Should be fun to watch play out.

The first model they looked at is one that we looked at last spring in Stoney Point. No idea where the second one is but most likely somewhere near Brucemore. The last model is about 3/4 mile from our current home and is a model for the neighborhood MrsWx wants to end up in.

Also he works at my employer and they briefly show one of our demo simulators.

Here’s a question for the ladies here, my wife and daughter both do this but the three males don’t and it drives me batty. The wife got an Alexa and she will play that with the tv going and then walk over and start playing stuff on the computer so there is cluttered noise coming from everywhere. Daughter does this too, not sure how they listen to it all

Watching last night's episode of SyFy's "Happy" on demand. Cannot believe this is on something considered "regular" TV. There was one scene that would be considered almost over the top on Game of Thrones let alone SyFy. And I pretty much loved every minute of it.

Repetitive sounds and conflicting sounds are my kryptonite. My hearing is really good, so I hear everything and find it impossible to single out and focus on one thing in these scenarios.

In short, I'm right there with ya.

Band concert was a success. Daughter and her friend did a duet which was short but very clean sounding. Her friend started it out by playing the Star Spangled Banner as a sax solo. Not perfect, but pretty darn good and really ambitious.

Their band instructor encourages them to try things outside of their comfort zone, which I love.

My daughter plays clarinet, but really wants to play violin. Unfortunately, our school district doesn't have orchestra, so we'd have to enroll her elsewhere or do private lessons to accomplish that.

Her cousin plays violin and is pretty good. My daughter has the right mindset to succeed with a difficult instrument, so I'm torn with how to proceed. I'm a sucker for Vivaldi and would love to see her pursue a string instrument. Really wish we had the option at her middle school next year.

If others listening to something and I want to listen to something else I use earbuds.

I will visually do multiple things but not audibly. So on laptop or phone watching TV.

I mute announcers on games a lot and listen to music on my phone.

So glad it went well. Has she ever considered the bagpipes?

Note to self: look up Happy on SyFy

We have a family that belongs to our church, and they all play string instruments. Dad plays cello, mom and the kids violins. Really adds a great deal to our musical presentations, especially at Christmas.

If you are really wanting her to play the violin, by all means do it now. Later in life you may wish you had. (I know the darn things are really expensive, but she may have a talent for it, too.)

The brass player in me is all "Dafuq would you let your kid play anything but brass?" ;)
