I get a small panic attack whenever I see someone on Facebook or twitter screenshot their phone and they have hundreds or thousands of unread messages or emails.

I can't remember who it was anymore, but a few years ago, someone on CF did a screenshot and they had something like 240 notifications. Another poster asked them about it and they were like, "I'll check them out eventually."

I've come back after a weekend one time to 34 of them and wondered if they were going to positive or if I'd managed to become the next Bode.

Um, you mean you don't remember? Were you overcome by corn fumes or something? Maybe there was alcohol involved.

No alcohol at that time, but I did successfully raise the median age in the corn pool by about 30 years.

However, before kids, a group of friends got together for an alcohol induced evening at a casino that ended with a drunken stagger around a corn maze in Missouri at 1 AM. It was pretty fabulous, but it was the most Missouri thing ever.

"You're out of order! They're out of order! The whole trial is out of order!!!!! It's Let's Make a Deal!!"

I love that movie, too. Pacino is fabulous, as always.
"You killed McCullough! You killed him! Hold it! Hold it! I just completed my opening statement!"

It's one of those great movies from the 70's that just kind of gets lost because there were so many great movies made at that time.

What movie is this? I think I want to watch it.

We used to end up with corn in the bath tub hours after going to these. I don't even want to think about where that corn was.

If the corn pool is anything like the public pool, it's already contaminated with the pee of 20+ kids by now. And you know I'm right!

It's like that but without the chlorine. They do tend to have lots of hand sanitizer stations right outside of it.

KC, this is probably your area of expertise, but I assumed maybe part of the corn box craze at every apple orchard, pumpkin patch, tree farm, strawberry patch, etc. was maybe cats don't want to use it as a litter box like they do a sandbox? At least I hope so.

I do not want to think about the bacterias growing in those things. I'll remember the fun and be relieved that my kids are too old for them now.

One line that I always remembered - it's a short line, after McCullough tells Kirkland about what has happened to him in prison - was, "....and other stuff, too." I've used that a lot, not sure why it stuck with me. Probably the revulsion in McCullough's voice when he said it.

I WAS kind of wondering about moisture in the box creating unwanted furry growth on the kernels...

First day of Fall and it's going to be 93 degrees, likely higher. I feel bad for football players tonight. It's our big rivalry game tonight. Both are 5-0. They're expecting 4,000 people there. That's pretty much everyone from our town.

Does either team have a stadium that seats that many?

Pet peeve-People doing Go Fund Me's just to help them get something they want. For instance my sister just posted one to help her buy a house. No you can save or buy what you can afford like the rest of us. Not to mention that will make your life hell when it comes time to finance.
