Another Female Teacher 'Incident'

A month seems like a long time and would definitely hurt but I'd let her do anything to me

To reiterate the point already made...she couldn't find a single 25 yo guy to satisfy her desires?

I would've pretended to be her student.

Some of these rules are good and others are overboard. I'm a healthcare professional and can never have sexual relations with someone that has ever been my patient. Even if we ended the doctor-patient relationship and waited a year it would still be against our rules and I automatically get my license suspended for 2 years.

That is being a male. Our law professor told us being a female gets you one "get out of jail free card."

That's dumb.

This is the problem. How in the hell is she that desperate? This is where I say there's something wrong but this one is ridiculous.

Plus, if we want to go the "abuse of power" route, pretty much any good looking girl ever should be charged. Those people have more power than anyone.

I knew a guy once that slept with his shrink and then sued her and won. That's what he said at least. So they may not get an out of jail free card. Not cool at all on his part.

I see it as a more long-term issue, potentially. That incident can follow you around for a very long time and most people aren't going to view it as a positive. If these kids want to shake the incident, they're probably going to have to move away from the area. Who knows.

What? Getting ***** is a bad thing?

That's cold man.
Hence the need for Romeo & Juliet laws, like we have in Iowa and many other states, which eliminate the scenario you described above. But getting rid of age of consent laws in general is just stupid, misguided, and plain creepy.

More completely arbitrary rules made up by people who like to wear robes and lawyers. If your such and such age but only X years different in age its ok, but if your X+1 years different and your over this age your going to jail. Prosecuting any simply based on arbitrary rules is stupid.

Plus, its for reasons like the two deaths of the young girls in Iowa and DHS problems that kids should have more legal power over themselves. They are more than intelligent enough to know that there evil fat-*** adoptive parents are abusing them and look to get out to the situation. But time and time again they get dragged back because they aren't old enough to make a decision to leave in the eyes of the law. Heard lots of stories where grandparents knew things were bad but couldn't do anything because the kids could not make any legal choices themselves.

Every time one of these gets reported I can hear Van Halen playing in my head.
I think of all the education that I missed / But then my homework was never quite like this

Agreed. 16 year old me probably would have committed murder if she said so (and I was already doin the doin it).

Prep School. I guess you get what you pay for. No teachers like that at my small town Iowa public high school.

The future is going to be hard on those boys. Pretty hard to equal that.

It's funny to me that so many of you are willing to give her a pass because she is attractive and would not have an issue getting someone her age. But, if she were less attractive or it were a male you seem more incline to believe that power of authority could have been used. Fundamentally this is an abuse of power regardless of looks.

Her attractiveness is but a bonus not an excuse. Students should not bone teachers and teachers should not bone students. IMHO these are all consenting people (not adults) so loss of job is adequate but criminal penalties seem way severe.

Had this been a male teacher, I would feel exactly opposite and would look at the teacher as preying on young girls. In this case - nope.

Some people just get off at the thrill of crossing a line.

Since no one else has said it yet...

(Puts on Dr. Drew hat)

She likely suffered a traumatic event in high school, which froze her development, and she is red acting it. There is nothing reasonable about any 25-year-old engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old, much less having 3 of them. There is nothing awesome about this. It's sad.

Sorry to be a buzzkill.
