I was distracted by the game and by my one friend who seemed to be either doing a winggirl for me or trying to pick up the new gal at our table for herself.
Typical Iowa fan.
A fiend of mine in law enforcement posted this. At first, I thought "Who would choose that bumper sticker and pull it out and slap it on his or her car?". Then I though "Hawkeye fan?". But then I noticed the license plate....
Last time I got my passport renewed I think took about a month. Speaking of which, I believe mine expires in Oct of 2018 so I guess I should start thinking about renewing next January.
When I was at Wall Drug about 10 years ago they had these magnetic bumper stickers for $1.00 each. I wish I had bought them all to slap on random vehicles.
Its the old federal building. I went on the weekend and did not have an appointment (even thought the site says you need one) and got right in.
Could you imagine me going to the Post Office and trying to get a passport? What a nightmare that sounds like.

Rejection letter from that conference came quickly. No surprise, but it was a nice rejection letter.

Just read an obituary of someone who was the brother of a girl in my class. I'm shocked because I have always been under the impression she was an only child.
I'd send it now. Don't remember how long mine took, but think DH's was about 3 weeks.

Wife has been looking at the menu for The Cafe in Ames. She sends me there during football season to bring her home desserts. She LOVES the bakery items.
I see they have roasted bone marrow, and some sort of charred octopus in a pear and bean sauce!
I'll probably try the bone marrow this fall. The wild boar sloppy joe is something I'd like to try as well.

We'll have bison sloppy Joes this weekend at our fish fry and wild game feed for the Spina Bifida kids. 4:30 - 8:00 pm Saturday at the VFW at 90th and Fort. I'm smoking ducks for it as well. We should have some wild boar as well, I'm just not sure how it is being prepared. Most likely smoked also.
So LittleWx has been fighting going to bed bad the last week. I made the mistake of laying down with him just to lay down with him just to get him to lay down. Two hours later and I didn't get a workout in nor did I get to watch Designated Survivor.
Yeah but they are generally less than two hours. MrsWx thinks it is due to the storms we have had.
