Wut? Malou was always a high risk/high reward player. We knew he was at best a coin flip on the academic side. That is why no one else really offered him.

Yeah he did. The staff did a lot to try and help him and make sure he was eligible. Then he signs with an agent before telling Prohm what was going on. Prohm believes he would have been eligible. He once again listened to bad advice. Some agent got in his ear and he was gone.

The young man packed up his life and left his family in Australia just for the chance to even play NCAA or NBA basketball in America. He believed a smooth talking Glendon Alexander, thinking that the Prep school would provide him the best route to college. He chose Iowa State and stuck it out until he truly felt he wasn't going to get cleared to play. I guarantee you he didn't want to declare last year, he knew he wasn't ready for the NBA or he wouldn't have even committed to ISU. He didn't make stupid decisions, he made the decisions he thought were right, but his first major decision ruined the rest of them for him.
