Lindell Wigginton

Eli Parker - who barely played for Orr - was the best leaper I can remember. ESPN did a special on him and his dunks. He named them. My favorite was the freeze frame. He'd be flying through the air - freeze for a photo op - than pound it home.

The ESPN special was set to the song "Eli's Coming". It was awesome.

I saw Jeff play. I know he was a freak but I think Clark could jump hire.

I doubt it, but possible. I forget who we were playing, but Hornacek threw a lob into the rafters and Grayer went up, got it and slammed it home. I have never seen one higher than that from an ISU player. I was responding to the comment that Clark was the best athlete.

Was Grayer a big time high school recruit? Amazing Orr could pull him out of Michigan away from the instate schools

Yes, he was big time. Both he and Gary T came to visit on the same night. Johnny came in before the game and asked us to make noise as he had big time recruits in. We went up to him to say hi during halftime and he was so shy.

Can you imagine what that team would've been like later if we had gotten Glen Rice? Woulda coulda.

Two Grayer dunks - all-timers: 1) Big 8 tournament against Kansas - we were down big early and Grayer drove and dunked over Greg Dreiling. Once we got back to Ames we watched the replay and stopped it several times at the apex of his jump - top of his head was within an inch of the rim. 2) His epic reverse dunk against Michigan State - looked like he was driving to shot a left handed layup, reverse dunked as he flew by the left side of the hoop. That video is still out there.

@hatfieldsports Lindell Wigginton, the #Rivals 4-Star committed to Iowa State, in an offensive groove. Knocks down a 3. Has 12 1stQ points so far.

@hatfieldsports Late 2ndQ at Scope - Oak Hill 41, Lake Taylor 19. Lindell Wigginton 14Pts. David McCormack 12Pts. (all on 6 dunks).

@hatfieldsports Final Stats for Oak Hill - Lindell Wigginton 21Pts. 7-12FG, 8Reb. 4Ast. 2Stl. Billy Preston 19Pts. 7-9FG, 6Reb.

Has there ever been a Grayer dunks thread? I want one!!

FYI - adjust schedules and set the DVR's. A glimpse or future ISU PG LW.

@CyclonesBBall. Lindell Wigginton and his Oak Hill teammates are No. 1 in the nation at 12-0. You can watch @Lwigginton5 at 6 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2 Thursday.

Wigginton could end up being the best PG in ISU history, no offense Monte. He just has the athleticism that Monte doesn't that could make him elite.

That would be sweet, but remember he isn't the main 'point' guard at Oak Hill. Coleman is. Would think he'll have to grow in that position and almost have a different role than now.

Point taken, but also remember he will be playing with Jackson his first year, and McNeil or Long could grow into that role too the following years where we basically have two combo guards, and Lindell playing the off guard often.

I'm seeing that SportsNation is on at that time and date?

Now I am confused...
ESPN's online schedule doesn't show SN but two high schools games on Thursday. The GEICO ESPN High School Basketball Showcase - Sierra Canyon (CA) VS. Oak Hill Academy (VA) being the second starting at 8 PM on the Duce. o_O May Just tape both and see which one has Lindell playing to be safe.
