Bored. Think I'll go clean the driveway snow off. Could probably use a broom. Snowblowers are stupid and just take up space in your garage.

Getting ready for lunch today, we decided to let Z play in the snow and send dad to get lunch. She and I walked all the way to the park and back. Tired her out for the rest of the day. I'm glad for the decent temperature to do that.

Having lived away from winter weather so long, id forgotten how much weathermen up play the weather. 12 inches actually equals 2 inches. This must be the same disappointment women WDSM hits on at the bar feel.

I was in Dallas a few years ago and the weatherman mentioned accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch. I told someone that we call that frost

While I slept the snow storm unfizzled. My fault for cleaning the little bit of snow off the drive last night at 10 p.m. Looks like 7" or so. Might even fire up Snoopy rather then shovel it, not heavy or depth enough to bother with Chuck.*

* Decided I needed to name the Toros, it's a RTT KC influence.

Random snowy morning observations:
  • The neighbors yuge two-stage snowblower is sounding like a vintage Johnny Popper tractor*. Dude, that thing needs servicing.
  • Got petrol, wonder if I have enough oil to mix in to feed Snoopy?
  • I am judging the people decades my junior that hire people to plow their driveways. If they have had back surgery I'll give them a pass, otherwise, whimps!
  • City cleared the alley and street using a front end loader. Dead end street and easier to back out and also to dump at end of street I guess. They do a good job. Gumbermit workers!
  • Officially Christmas season. Broke out the Christmas coffee cup.

* Small child Boxster was intimidated by old Johnny Poppers with big belts on their pulley/flywheels running dangerous looking ****. Would retreat to the safety of the '49 chevy truck.
