CG, that sucks about VB. The leagues I used to play in had a rule to where every third serve had to be underhand to keep a player from going on runs like that.

I used to play a LOT of sand VB. I varied from teams that were super serious to teams that were super drunk. One constant: I always hated the teams that would play down a level just to get wins. It happened every session.

So there had been discussions about having another LittleWx but now with Zika confirmed in Florida that may be off the table now.

Do I understand correctly that it can cause problems not only for a currently developing baby, but up to a year after the mother was infected?

The CDCs website just says "once clear from her bloodstream"...so whatever that means.

Since they never freeze I figured they are probably year round.

Niece, who was trying to get pg last winter decided to opt out of coming to Mexico with us even though no Zika cases had been reported in the Cancun area at that time. I've never even seen a mosquito in Cancun but have seen them spraying and treating with granulars outside of Playa del Carmen. Lots of uncertainty on medical details, even more so at that time, lead her to go very conservative. The airlines even gave them a refund. Oh, and baby due this fall. :)

I would probably chat with a doctor and see. I don't know how far the Zika ones are from wherever you are going right now but I know they are working pretty hard to control the spread. They're going to be everywhere by next summer but I'm hoping that they don't quite make it this far north.

It's down in the southern tip, close to Miami. Orlando is about 250 miles to the north (halfway to Georgia).

We need to build a wall across northern Florida and have those damn Floridians pay for. If they don't pay up we will respond with sanctions by cutting off all of those retired peoples social society checks!

Might have to have Disney World set aside as a free zone sorta like West Berlin during the Cold War.

I know it isn't in Orlando yet but 250 miles isn't that far. I mentioned it to my wife as more of a "we might want to start paying attention to this" kind of a thing. I am sure she thinks I am trying to get out of the trip though.
