I had to get a powered version of this type of antenna to really even have a shot at most of the channels. It's still hit and miss and definitely not consistent.

Apple is bringing single sign on to Apple TV. Basically, it lets you log in one with your provider instead having to do it for every app. Doubt it works with Vue.
I use an over-the-air DVR to record from my antenna. Here is a newer version of mine:

The new Sling Orange + Blue has both ESPN and FS1. 40 buck a month.
Why did you pick this one over TiVo or Tablo? Being thinking of doing the same since I cutting Directv for OTA and Sling.
You can get ESPN/2/U/News and FS1/2 (and NBCSN, and SEC Network, and BTN) on the mid-tier Vue package for $35 a month.
We went with the Tivo version for OTA. Downside is the $15 a month subscription. But the guide and DVR capabilities work well.
Not heard of Sling Orange and Blue, but agree that I can get everything through the VUE for less.
I think it will be interesting to keep an eye on all these as clearly this type of services is become more popular. Happy with the VUE, but who knows what the next best thing will be. The key will not only be programming, but it's ability to handle connection speeds and buffering. Netflix does an excellent job with this, with PS not doing too bad. Sling unfortunately was awful in my experience.
NFL Network and NFL RedZone channel are coming to Vue! No pricing info yet, but that's a pretty big announcement!

Yep it seems like the lesson that Vue learned from Sling is that people are willing to pay more for a higher quality product (better stream quality and more channels) when it is still a significant savings from cable. Sling positioned itself really as a bargain product at first for $20. But I will gladly pay almost twice that for just a few more channels, more than one stream, and better consistency with Vue at $35
I agree but I'm hoping whatever the next entry is goes full ala carte. Or at least gets rid of the idea of bundled channels. Basically I'm opposed to anything that forces me to pay for the SEC or Big Ten Networks in order to get something like FS2 or ESPNU.
Just loaded a raspberry pie 3 with all NES, SNES, Sega, and Atari games. Now working on getting Kodi running with ESPN 3. Have been w/o cable for 10 yrs and will welcome the additional entertainment.
I just did the same thing a few weeks ago. A lot of fun playing Techmo Superbowl and other old games.
While i understand what your saying i find it highly unlikely this will ever happen for you ... SEC network is owned by espn - therefore you want espnu you get SEC net shoved at you ... You want fs1 or fs2 ... They own BTN so unluckily you're getting that throw'n at you as well ... Double edged sword, but for the greater good of isu athletics and revenues im just happy they're always on a major network now ...
Add Exodus to your kodi and have have all movie streams. Been using firestick this way for the last year

IMO a FireTV. The set-top box not the stick. Everything else (even the PS3) struggle scrolling on the guide and are pretty sluggish doing any channel changing. I'm sure PS is working on improving the clients but PS4 and Fire TV are the best ones at the moment.
Can you view the Vue TV stations by just using a web browser or an app that you can get from the Microsoft Store?
I also read that that a PS4 is currently the only way to consistently get 60 FPS with all channels (30 FPS is normal for the other devices). This is worth noting for sports and one reason why I haven't moved to VUE,
Will the result of this be choppiness or poorer picture quality?
Can anyone with FireTV comment on the sports viewing experience through VUE?
