I am guessing that the steady diet of disturbing horror movies favored by GTO has something to do with Little GTO sleep issues.

:wideeyed:

Man you guys are crazy with the late bedtimes, the time between when the kids go to bed and when I go to bed is the best. On school nights the 2 year old is in bed at 7:30 and the 9 year old is in bed at 8:00 and then it's all mommy daddy time.

3.5 and 5.5 YO's have cartoons from 7-7:30, books/snuggle time from 7:30-8, then bedtime. However, we do need to work on mrs00 and I after that...usually she either works from home or checks facebook, and I surf the web. Mrs00 is not naturally a talker, so we need to 'practice' discussing things or we start to drift, and we haven't been 'practicing' lately.

This is our schedule as well. Love the kids by I need that window of time with the wife to just chill.

Never saw any of the mummy movies. After suffering through Ishtar, I gave up on any movie in the desert.

No Lawrence of Arabia? No Hidalgo? The Flight of the Phoenix * ? The obscure Bogert movie, Sahara?

The first Fraser mummy movie is a gem, cannot recommend the sequels at all.

* Edit: have to make sure people understand I am talkin' the 1965 Jimmy Stewart and Richard Attenborough one.

Sometimes you just have to know when someone has an agenda and walk away. That latest money thread is sad.

No, no,forced.to watch part of the remake last year on trip to DC, no

For those with young kids, wait until you have a couple hit at least junior high. You want alone time more than couples time.

Damn, Boxster! We pretty much have the same taste in movies (outside of horror movies, of course).

If you are talking the Phoenix remake, than, oh hell no. I like the 1965 Jimmy Stewart and Richard Attenborough one. Stewart gets to play a bit of an ***-hole and Attenborough is classic Attenborough.

So you and your wife fall sleep around 8:05?

Yep Phoenix remake. Had to watch divergent also, that was bearable. Then pitch perfect, I watched until the shower scene was done then messed around on my phone.

So that thread doesn't need my money secrets? Basically (1) avoid expensive coffee shops (2) score big clothing saving at Macy's (only shop crazy sales).

Bought Bass long sleeve SP outdoor/travel shirt last night. $66 less 50% sale price less another 25% for their special 2-day family and friends sale. So $41.25 off a $66 item.
If only they sold cars like this. :twitcy:

Raiders of the Lost Ark? Blazing Saddles? Three Amigos? Bolero (Bo Derek was quite an actor!...?)?

Which money thread? Are you guys talking about the middle class shame thread?

Yeah. 00 Pretty much hit the nail on the head in that it just all becomes a **** measuring contest and trying to prove each other wrong when you just won't. What else is new though.

Now it has just evolved into a is Dave Ramsey good or bad debate with one guy just complaining about how he declared bankruptcy and that was taking the easy way out.

It's a cold desert, like in Mongolia, where the Mongolians live. I'm being very careful with this one.
I think you might be thinking of Empire Strikes Back. Beginning of ROTJ takes place in Tatooine, which is a desert planet. I'd like to add another desert movie: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
