I have a few random thoughts:

1. Why are women's Tennessee teams called the "Lady Volunteers" when none of the volunteers that Andrew Jackson rounded up were ladies? It's like credit is being given to women that didn't do anything.
2. Why is Minnesota called the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" when there are 11,842 lakes? Minnesota is basically saying 1,842 of those lakes don't matter or count.
3. Why are the little candy bars called fun-size? Isn't it more fun eating a bigger candy bar?
4. If vampires can't see their reflection, why is their hair always perfect?

Oooh, how about throwing in lead pellets versus steel for upland game!

Not an issue of pheasants versus turkeys here in MN since Minnesota sportsman all want their lakes managed as walleye aquariums and all woodlands and savannas managed for deer. All other species of fish, bird or mammal are incidental and maybe in the way. True conservationists are shunned as socialists.

The radio traffic report on the way in the morning "The NE of Cedar Rapids is a mess as will continue to be for the next 6 months". That about sums it up.

Watched a news report about the increase of seal around cape cod. Said the seals have brought sharks and now they are shutting down the waters on a regular basis because of it. Fishermen are mad because seals are eating the fish and sharks are scaring off the rest of the fish.

Guess I didn't know seals were native to Massachusetts

Watched a news report about the increase of seal around cape cod. Said the seals have brought sharks and now they are shutting down the waters on a regular basis because of it. Fishermen are mad because seals are eating the fish and sharks are scaring off the rest of the fish.

Not native...from England. Probably goes to cape cod because that's what all the rich folk do.

so anyone getting these robo voicemails claiming to be the IRS informing you that a lawsuit has been filed against you?

At least your scammers got your name right. I would get calls for a really long time (often an automated call) saying there were changes being filed against me for fraud and they needed to tell me stuff before they could serve me with notice and stuff. Only problem was they were calling for a completely different person.

Someone should throw in the des moines waterworks lawsuit. That'll send it to hell quickly. But really, that was a thread about whether that sound was a pheasant. there was no need to turn it into a talk about farming practices

I did mine yesterday.

I have gotten those calls that the IRS is suing me 5-10 times. Sometimes I think about calling them back just to mess with them.

Finished mine last night. $8 federal refund. Nice.
