**** THESE REFS

It's pretty bad when a team wins and loses based primarily on how the refs call fouls. I want to know why everyone but ISU gets good home court refs.

I gave up on expecting to win before half time. The calls were ridiculous. I don't know how a team that commits some of the fewest fouls in the country can ever have more fouls than a team that commits almost the most fouls a game let alone twice if I'm not mistaken. They may have finally gotten to about even, but that is probably because at the end of the games we had to just let people go.

Iowa State simply can't make a deep run because they will run into at least one game where it will be called closely and they don't have any depth when people get in foul trouble.

Ref really isn't the issue. When other team scores 100 against you every game, you know what the problem is.

Its kind of hard to defend when everytime you touch a guy they blow the whistle. I knew we were in trouble when TWO over the back calls were missed in the first 2 minutes.

Can someone please tell me WTF is prohm doing? Your coaching in a game that is obviously being one sided as any game ive seen in the past couple of years.... West Virgina leads the big 12 in committed fouls and they only get 14 called in the game. That is obviously a problem. Theres a reason they lead the conf in offensive rebounding - they called them junk yard dogs and thats right - they foul on EVERY possession and hardly get a foul called....

Prohm should have defended his players and got a technical to send a message that he's got his players backs... instead he turns around and talks to assistants..... Thats TERRIBLE Coaching. Huggins, Self even Kruger sometimes use technicals to send a message to his players and the refs and this coach is fine with the fouls being called. Theres no excuse for his lack of emotion when his team is being screwed!!!!

This team had no clue what to do. If they were in the area of a WVU player when they were shooting ISU got called for a foul. At the same time WVU was allowed to hold and hack ISU all night.

IMO our defense tonight was not really that bad. The rebound deficit in the first half hurt. But overall our defense was better than you would think while still giving up 97 points. WVU shot WAY better than normal and the refs were truly terrible. Hard to win that game with 6 players the way it was officiated.

He went after the Refs plenty tonight. What good what getting T'ed up do.

This is the worst ive seen in my lifetime. Not one single call but on an entire body of work

It really is bad. The sad thing is that I'm not even slightly surprised. WVU should finish every game with at least 3-4 guys foul out. I almost don't even blame them for playing the way they do. Officiating in college basketball, especially in the Big 12, is remarkably inconsistent. Huggins knows they don't know have a clue how to discourage their style of play. They won't foul out the entire team every game.

This bothered me about Fred and I think Prohm is worse about it.

But the refs had a lot to,do with that. They basically didn't allow us to play defense in the 22nd half. Everyone started letting them go on their drives after 4-5 terrible calls got us in foul trouble.

This all the way. I hate how teams that play physical are allowed to foul and get away with it. WVU literally held on every drive to the hoop. If the refs called this game even we win by 5-10 imo.

Why do Refs allow teams like WVU foul so much and not call it? If it is a foul on one team it is a foul on the other team. If it is a foul one game it is a foul in the next game. Just because WVU wants to make the refs call fouls, doesn't mean they have to let them get away with it.
