Down goes #4 KU

So you are saying that Burton provides no addition depth to the front court. Thank you. that's what I was thinking as well.

JFC...maybe...just maybe...Burton providing SF minutes enables Nader to provide more PF minutes? Ever thought of that? A lot of moving pieces for that brain of yours I know.

Um, isn't Nader already starting? A better team than Colorado would have jumped at the fact that Niang, McKay and Nader all had four fouls.

If Greene was an elite PLAYER he would have played more than 525 minutes. The deficiencies of the rest of his game do not change his ability to knock down a three at a ridiculous rate. I stand by my claim. You disagree, no biggie.

Except he's never done this. Congratulations on a great first month of the Big 12 conference last year, shooters go on streaks but he still only shot 42% when he was healthy all non conference and ended the season at 40%

Yep, Nader is starting. What does that have to do with anything? The rotation is simple. Burton comes in for Nader at the 16 minute mark and you go from there. Nader then comes in for Niang/Mckay.

Better team than Colorado? How'd the Jayhawks fare against the Buffaloes last time they met? I seem to remember a CU buzzer beater to beat your sorry a $$es. A better KU team wouldn't allow a buzzer beater.

Serious question- has tuco ever backtracked and agreed with someone after he started out arguing the opposite?

Yeah, I didn't think so. Why does anyone argue with him? I put his last account on /ignore, and it's finally time to do the same to this one too.

I have already stated that having Burton will increase the overall depth. 8 is better than 7, I get that. I am not arguing that it won't. Like I said, should be a fun year.

We'll see. I hope he gets back into the mode I saw in Game 1 where he was actively moving around the floor to get himself open instead of standing around doing nothing to get open like he was against MSU or he won't be on the floor to shoot any three at all.

Greene's 40 threes were in 525 minutes. Niang's 46 threes were in 1,045 minutes. What's your point?
I think his point is an elite 3 pt shooter plays more than 525 minutes and can withstand a full season without becoming injured. I'd say Cooke had a better freshman year than Greene, but I wouldn't call him elite yet.

It's always GREAT to See Thee "Cheating Jayhawks"........LOSE Again

Go Cyclones

Maybe it's just coincidence but they sure do seem to struggle when they have to play 5 on 5 against a legit team outside of the B12. 8 on 5 is much more kind to them.

And I am still perplexed as to how adding a 6'4" G/F in Burton solves ISU's depth problems. There just aren't going to be a lot of scenarios where he is going to allow McKay, Morris and Niang to not have to play 35+ minutes a game against the half dozen Big 12 teams that will be headed to the tourney. That's a lot of mileage those guys are going to have to put on the tires and thus, a lot of risk for injuries.

6'4 240 lbs that can jump out of the gym, he can play 3 positions and rebound and bang with guys that are bigger. He will help with depth, trust me.

$50 says that if he stays healthy all year that he will shoot 50+% from 3 on the season. He was shooting 56% (and an even hotter 62.5% in Big 12 play) at the time of his hip injury Feb. 14th versus Baylor last year but didn't tell anyone he was injured until after the season ended and shot about 20% after the injury to end at "just good".

Bet accepted.

Wow, a whole $50! That's a lot for someone running the fryer at McDonalds!

Same for Perry.

Yep Tuco acts like Iowa State is the first team in the history of college bball to play an 8 man rotation. 8 is perfect in my mind unless you're Kentucky running 10 all Americans out there. Not worried about running up these so called miles. They are 20 year old men they can handle playing 35 basketball games.
