It just happened that all of his ideas matched yours.

this is actually not far from the truth. Same with the house. We have found we have pretty similar taste in things. Like I was all what do you want for a cake? He's like none of that fondant ****. I'm like great, I don't want that either. I'm like I don't want to spend a lot of time and money on decorations and paper stuff. He's a guy so of course he's like yeah no.
With the house, I think we were different on floors to start. I wanted more red and he wanted more brown. I've learned DH has pretty good taste and he was right. More red would have been obnoxious.

I thought he'd be against the red door when I brought it up, but he was all for it. Someone asked us if we fought over house decisions and we really didn't. There were things we weren't exactly the same to start, but it was never like one of us wanted white cabinets and the other wanted black. We seem to be pretty well within each others' range.

I'm sitting in church yesterday and sign the kids sermon notes that they need to do for confirmation. As I'm signing them I realize that I spend way more time during the sermon looking for hot moms than actually listening to the sermon. Anybody else have this issue (looking for hot dads counts too)? Are my priorities messed up? Never mind the second question, of course they are.
Damn, J, the rest of the men on RTT just left you out to dry here! I'll also admit that the mind does wander at times during church and unfortunately it sometimes goes in that direction. I catch myself sometimes, and try to think about something else (like what the pastor/priest is talking about). If you've ever watched Jim Gaffigan, he addresses this in one of his stand up routines (listen at 2:10):

I'm sure the rest of the RTT guys are solely focused on the message and if their mind wanders, it wanders only to think about their beautiful spouse :jimlad:

Love Gaffigan.

And we weren't hanging him out to dry. We just didn't want to burn for eternity in a fiery inferno.

But seriously, jcyclonee, save me a seat. I don't wanna get stuck next to KC and her weed

Trying to decide what to do for dinner, grilled chicken or siracha brats.

was just about to text DH asking the same. Siracha brats sound interesting. And also like I would use up the remaining household paper products with the effects on my nose.

I bought them from a meat locker this summer and froze them, have never had them before. I guess I'll make them and see how it goes.

Both. Make gumbo with the leftovers. It's creeping up on chili/gumbo weather.

I have some andouille sausage still frozen, but will need to run to the grocery store for quite a bit of the other stuff (shrimp, bacon, tomato paste, beef bouillon) so maybe that is what I will make this weekend.

I don't see okra in there anywhere....gumbo without the wagon wheels is boring! ;)

Yup. I'm also partial to chicken stock versus beef. Oh, and crawfish. It's a lotta work for little reward, but there's a noticeable difference when I leave them little buggers out.

Wednesday morning. Flight leaves at 6 a.m. I'm trying to talk myself into working a few hours extra between tonight and tomorrow but my motivation is getting lower by the minute.

Sounds similar as your standards for guys nowadays. ;)

I don't want to make what I planned for tonight. Tempted to do the $5.99 Papa John's deal after a Cyclone win. Won't be able to take advantage of that much until bball season starts up again.

CG--my dad gets to do a "Coach for a Day" experience with the vball team. Participates in the team meal, coaches meeting, warm-up, etc. He asked the oldest 2 if they want to come along. He didn't ask me. :(

Cousin just posted something on a legal topic which I think is really misinformed. Really need to bite my tongue on that one.

Never during the homily. But watching people receive the Eucharist, well that's another story.
