This game scares, probably not as much as it did two years ago or the game against NDSU did last season but it's high risk, low reward game. UNI lost a lot of talent (so too did NDSU the year before), but according to some friends from Cedar Falls, most expect Kollmorgen to get the start and he is pretty good quarterback. In the end I think talent wins out, I got ISU by a field goal 31-28.

I believe it will be 31-17. New defense does its job, and offense just has too many weapons in year 2 of offensive staff. Clearly a Cyclone win.

31-17 ISU, why not? I wouldn't bet a plug nickel on the outcome of this game though.

If you just go by talent, then I think ISU wins by 2 TDs.

However, because of coaching, it will be tight. UNI will play MUCH smarter and more fundamental football than we will, just like always, and that will keep it close.

But it shouldn't be.

28-17 Cyclones. And Kollmorgen is a solid QB. Not really sure what all happened with him last season, because he was a considerably better passer than Carnes, IMO.

I predict the SEZ looks nice.

UNI 31
ISU 21

High risk, low reward indeed. UNI has everything to play for yet again and Farley knows how to win in JTS. This is why we can't have nice things.

I predict if we lose there will be a meltdown like nobody's business. I think we win, but probably closer than I would like 31-21 maybe?

UNI 20
ISU 17

The team collapses under pressure with no leadership and UNI wants it more. Same as the last 2 years.
There is no reason why ISU should come out complacent for this game or any less intensity than UNI. The season won't be a success with a win here but will be a dud with a loss.
