Alla minnesota boys are reading this, jealous that you can buy actual beer at a grocery store.
Cyclones423's post has got me reconsidering whether to attend the ISU/UNI game.
423 wants to go but is doing the right thing and not going. I do not want to go but maybe I should just to balance out the football karma.
Problem is my choices of who to go with are (1) someone who is 100% super serious about football and will drive down and back just for the game and nothing more or (2) some Iowa guys who will drink before, at halftime, probably drink through the 2nd half, drink more after the game and than hit closing time somewhere (not my thing at all).

Really? I never did go into a grocery store when I was there. In Indiana you can't buy cold beer at a grocery store and no alcohol on Sundays
It may have changed, but I remember being pizzed off after hitting a convenience store and grocery store thinking "Doesn't anyone sell beer here?"
That sucks. I can't think of a grocery store that doesn't sell beer or both beer and booze, or that doesn't at least have a liquor store attached
Hy-Vee now building stores here (2 of them new in IC) with a "market cafe" attached that serves beer, and you can get a growler to go.
don't even let them know about Woodman's.
The Sentry by us closed and it's been so long I can't remember - that's the only grocery store I'm not sure about. The rest have grocery store sized liquor stores attached.
The hyvee in cedar falls had a wine tasting room inside of it. The renovated stores are pretty nice.
