Recruit Lists v2.0

King, waters and kosta are my top 3 for this second. Will probably change in a day though

It's hard to say Kobe King is my "most wanted" because he's in the 2017 class. If you're talking overall I think he's top 5 but not a must have like big guys are for 2016. Both cook(e)s and Xavier Simpson are my most wanted for 2016. Then probably Kostas and Linday waters.

Definitely not a unique view point here but would sure be nice to get lucky for this class and get the 5 or 6 solid recruits we're hoping for. That should go a LONG way in helping us focus a lot of our time and effort on Kobe King for 2017 instead of chasing down a bunch of other kids at the same time. Will be fun to follow

I think Lindy Waters is the type of guy Prohm is talking about for having a ball handling guard. Obviously he loves PGs and those offers are going to be flying out like carrier pigeons, but T Cooke is the real deal, and I hope we continue to have a good shot at him. Still not sold on Xavier Simpson though, he is very small, and would have to bulk up to be dominant in the Big 12, not saying it can't happen. But like I said, PG offers are going out all over, so who knows what will happen.

Regardless of who anyone's favorite targets are, all of the guys we've gotten in on recently are having great summers so far. Very encouraging

Agreed, it's reflecting very well on the coaches abilities to recognize talent

Simpson would be a great start to the 2016 class. Obvious statement I know.

All respect, but I think the coaches ability to recognize talent will be proven by how well the kids play when they get here, not by what pundits and recruit rankings are saying

Yeah I understand that how they perform in college will be the ultimate test on their abilities, but I think it's a good sign when we are in on guys early prior to them "blowing up"

Agree to an extent, but it's pretty telling when we offer a guy, and with in the next month a handfull of other high majors offer and recruiting services say they are moving up. To me, that means we found the talent early and they are blowing up.

Yes, getting in early on a guy that ultimately becomes a hot commodity is reassuring if we can land him. Offering a guy early who doesn't garner much high-major interest thereafter is always scary.

PS - I really have to change my profile pic.

There's a reason Simpson is a top priority for us in 2016

We are going to have a very special recruiting class.
