so I guess agreeing to a visit later this summer when things settle down means that you instead switch to ambush calls on the weekend to try and come up the next day. And then we say we are busyhelping someone move, you ask until what time. Or what time Monday. I'm sorry, just because we may end up with a few free hours this weekend still doesn't mean we want to entertain. It means we actually want some downtime this weekend!

Gar.

got my ring back and I'm paranoid that it's too tight now or that if I get pregnant/gain 5lbs, it'll have to be cut off.

I've gained/lost weight multiple times after my wedding and I've never had issues. I never have issues with water retention/swelling when pg but if you are worried you can always take it off and put it on a chain. Mine is loose but I may just wrap somestring around it or something. ;)

I'll probably get used to it but it deeeeefinitely doesn't fit on my right ring finger now. So I guess I hope my left one stays the same size or gets smaller. I can always do the chain thing too. Just didn't want that to be necessary.

That's ok. It will probably make WDSM feel a little less awkward without it on.

Well, I'm pizzing everyone off this weekend (although, things seem to be on the mend with Mrs.). 2.5 YO has been hesitant to give up the binky. Mrs. and I talked about it 'getting broken' this weekend, but hadn't made definite plans.

Welp, when 00clone accidentally wraps it up into the tin foil for the potato packet that he put on the grill...that'll prevent any further discussion of it....littlest 00clone is pretty heartbroken about now.

I'd be mad that the potatos got ruined.

I have the biggest crush on one of the bartenders at my local watering hole. She's like late 30's, early 40's. Loves sports. Is just like pre-cougar hot. 10/10.

haha, but yeah, what about the potatoes?!

Rhubarb question for the cooking gals.

Got a simple easy recipe for rhubarb crisp or something similar? I have rhubarb growing but no neighbors to give it too anymore so I think I need to make something myself. I used to get some pie or crisp back for being the supplier garden guy. Think challenge level 2 on a scale of 10.

This sounds simple enough

BTW, I am not even going to reveal the "best if used by" date on the oatmeal in baking shelf that I just looked at.

I would take some of the suggestions of the first few reviews and maybe add some strawberries, cinnamon to the topping, probably increase the rhubarb amount.

For reference, here are the amounts I use for apple crisp:

1 cup of sugar mixed with 6 cups apple slices/chunks....I think rhubarb is more tart so I'd do more sugar if just doing rhubarb, and maybe a similar amount if adding strawberries. The recipe you linked does 3 cups of rhubarb....and a lot of the time DH pushes the apples to 8 cups so I'd say you're very safe to at least double the rhubarb. Probably just increase the cooking time - until it's browned and bubbly.

topping:

1.5 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup butter

you put the butter in kinda hard (not melted) and mush it with your hands until it's like wet sand. Takes a little bit but makes the best topping. I left out the cinnamon amounts since this is for apple, but we normally do 2 tsp in the apples and 1 in the topping.

This isn't a crisp, but it's delicious. I've made it several times throughout my life. rhubarb cake

Can grains even expire?
