So I'm perusing Pinterest this morning, and see that my cousin by marriage is pinning decoration ideas for her 7-8 yr old son's bedroom. Everything is sports related...baseball, basketball...

And then, I stop...

She's pinned a Schmuckeye bedroom set.

She's the daughter of two ISU graduates, married to an ISU graduate, and is an ISU fan. (Central College grad)
I'm not sure what happened. I wonder if her brother (Iowa grad) has something to do with it. Hmm....

Clearly the only solution is to disown her as a family member, along with public ridicule.

Pants...what U think? Herringbone pants...does that have to be a solid color shirt, or could a guy get away with a color coordinated plaid?

LLBean has some herringbone pants on clearance, but most of my shirts are plaids.

I'm kind of thinking no, but I just hate khakis since they're dang near "well, I don't want to try at all, but they won't let me wear jeans, so I guess I'll wear khakis"

What kind of plaid are you talking? You talking like, Al Borland from Home Improvement plaid, or more muted colors?

My first thought when I saw your question was "ewww". I pictured lumberjack-type plaids and a more obvious herringbone. The combos you showed look okay to me, but you might want younger advice. I dress for comfort now, not for fashion. :)

I had declared my trip to the salon earlier this week as my Mother's Day treat (I can now claim to be somewhat blonde again). A tradition is to get a new hanging plant, hubby got a beautiful one this year. Dinner is ordered from Great Plains, raspberry white chocolate cheesecake is ready for dessert, and I have a bottle of wine chilling. Not too shabby of a day.

We had a gift card for Texas Roadhouse, so Mrs. 00clone chose to go there for lunch.

They really take the 'authentic Texas' all the way, don't they? I saw 4 black people working, 2 were busboys, 2 were in the kitchen. 0 servers.

Your wife chose Texas Roadhouse as her Mothers Day gift? You pretty much found a chick version of you and then married her, didn't you?

Did you ask how they were preparing for the impending invasion?

beautiful plant.........and I definitely noticed that we basically chose that same color tile for our mudroom/bathroom areas. That is, after we got the stuff that came in orange replaced.

I haven't been to TR in forever. Never been to the one here yet. I have a GC for Wallaby's but it wouldn't even cover an appetizer and drinks for hubby and I, let alone 6 of us eating there. The girls want to try it but we will have to convince Grandpa to take us there. ;) Maybe some night we can leave the kids at home with the oldest and go have drinks on the patio. It is even within walking distance, would make for a nice night. Except the walk back home.

Texas Roadhouse is not close to my choice, I can make food of that calibre at home. Mrs. 00clone's decision on Texas Roadhouse is because she's cheap. We had a gift card, and the oldest got a token for a free kids' meal at his last dentist appointment. So total, including tip, was $5. Personally, I would have taken her somewhere nice, but then she'd be mad because we spent too much money, and so...when it's her gift, I give into her tightarsedness.

My spouse has to deal with me not wanting to spend a lot.

Texas Roadhouse is off our list forever now. It was hard to find any allergy information on their website and pretty much said deal with it.

I'm guessing that's related to the peanut dust covering every surface, they figure why even try?
