much ado about nothing

nfl footballs and other stuff been tampered with for decades.

lost in this ridiculous hysteria was NE destroying Indianapolis with Rb Blount (sp?) ripping the colts for 148 yds and 3 TD's

oh and Ray Rice just punched someone

Nobody is arguing at all that NE wouldn't have still destroyed the Colts with or without deflated footballs. It's the fact that Brady and the equipment guys blatantly broke NFL rules, and then lied about it and tried to cover it up.

Had Brady just come out and said, "yeah, I tell the equipment guys to take a few PSI out of my footballs because that's the way I like them. I had no idea it was against any NFL rule"... then this whole thing would have just blown over with some smallish fine and no suspensions IMO.

It's the way the Patriots and Tom Brady have handled this situation that makes it 10x worse IMO.

He's finished as an NFL player and rightfully so. Hopefully this helps drive the point home to a guy like Greg Hardy to not screw up a second chance

Broncos fans can't really talk crap considering this is going on with one of their own players.

Not really concerned about AP. If he plays he plays. If he doesn't, he doesn't. The team will probably be a little better with him, and Minnesota fans will welcome him back with open arms. But, if he wants to sit out, so be it. Biggest RB salary in the league. If he wants to walk away, then that's on him. His agent, Dogra, has not done him any favors in this saga, only made him look petulant, while drying up the little good will he has left in this league. His legacy is forever tarnished, and maybe you can make the case that it was tarnished from the moment that picture of his son went viral, but I think his actions this offseason are having an effect as well.

As a lifelong Vikings fan this is how the AP saga will probably play out. He is on the Vikings roster but says he can't play due to some mysterious injury such as migraine headaches. After a few weeks of Adrian refusing to play and his agent spouting off that it would horrible for the Vikings to force an injured player to play, especially with a head injury, the Vikings get tired of all the drama and cut him. He signs with another team like the Cowboys and announces that after taking a couple of Advil his headaches are gone! He then proceeds to rush for over 200 yards a game and carries his team to a superbowl win.

I'll throw up if something like this happens.

that won't happen, though. If the Vikings were concerned about him not performing on the field, he would have been traded already. And as I've said before, if AP or his agent have any plans on getting another big contract, AP needs to show that he can perform this year. He needs to be on the field more than Minnesota needs him on the field. Both sides know it. That's why the Vikings haven't budged an inch, and will continue to hold their ground.

Exactly right. It's too bad that AP continues to draw this out as more and more Viking fans are joining the "tired of the Adrian antics" camp. Roger and co. really screwed up Peterson's "suspension", but now AP is looking bad all on his own (with his agent's help).
