Can't find it with a quick check, but I thought I read one time there were some of them (or other strategic bombers) sitting in one of the graveyards with holes cut in the top of them as part of the agreement for arms reduction...the holes in the top were so that russian satellites could verify they were non-operational.

Another fun fact, the overall airframe design will likely be in service (with upgraded systems, obvs) for 100 years.

They just pulled one out of the boneyard to upgrade. Replacement for one that got damaged in a fire.

I'm really torn. The Quick 4 has a carbon fork which is the best. The Trek is either aluminum (7.3, lighter) or steel (7.2, heavier but smoother). For whatever reason, the Trek is priced WAY above MSRP. I just looked that up. The Quick 4 is priced below its MSRP. I like the shifters a bit more on the Trek, but the color scheme/color design on the Quick 4. I just wish I liked one a lot more than the other to help make a decision.

Hey, Boxster, pretty obscure stuff, how you know this squirrel stuff? I hit one a couple of years ago. Double tap with both wheels. He didn't get into the spokes but I still almost crashed. Looked up the squirrel what ifs after that.

Depending on your riding wouldn't the steel or alloy forks give a more comfortable ride?

It is truly amazing to think about how quickly they were designed and put in use considering the technology at the time. Probably 12 years ago or so I went to the S.A.C. museum near Offut A.F.B. That was very interesting and I would love to go back.

There is a group here in Wichita that is nearly finished restoring a B-29. Google Doc B-29 to find out more. It will be the one of two airworthy B-29's.
 
Came to Kohl's tp return an outfit that was gifted to us today. Since we didn't have a gift receipt our options were to either. ..

A. Get the lowest ticketed price which was 3 cents.

Or

B. Do an even exchange for $16.

We went with option B but where do I find these option A items.
 
So, I tell someone I don't have a dog in the early fights tonight, and he misunderstands me and says he thinks they're playing tough games (they are?). So I explain that I meant I didn't pick any of these teams; I had Davidson-ISU & and UNI-LSU. Couple more comments back & forth and then this "expert" chimes in with:
"My Bracket has NC State-Louisville, OU-Michigan State, Duke-Utah and UCLA-Gonzaga for tonight's games. It also has Kentucky-Notre Dame and Wisconsin-Arizona for tomorrow's games."

I didn't respond in that thread, but I told PapaLew I felt like typing "you want a f'in cookie?"
He laughed...

There's always "that guy" with the "perfect picks", isn't there?

Just because you don't have as perfect of a bracket as some of us doesn't mean you need to get upset.

Stalkers gonna stalk. I don't have anything to talk about at the moment. I had my bike talk earlier but now that I've picked and ordered one, we'll just have to wait until next week when I pick it up.

My bracket is far from perfect but there's a decent chance I'll win my pools.
 
I still don't understand if you get a vanity plate touting your school, why do you make the message anti-the other school instead of pro-your school? i.e. - the plate I just saw that said BOO ST8
 
I'm in the middle of the pack of mine, but that's because it's mostly family & a few work friends (ISU). More than half of us had the Clones in the final four, and a little less than half went with our hearts & took them all the way. :(

What I really need is for ND to beat UK, and then Wisky to win it all. Yeah...that's gonna happen...
