Hogue

I'm not sure.

He came out very late in the warmups (the formal one where the cheer leaders lead them out.). He was also being worked on by the trainers.

Id bet he is fighting an injury.

He was in there popping 3's in the first warmups.

Something wasn't right. He brings it every game, same consistent game, not necessarily in points, but his effort and his head just wasn't right yesterday. Hope its just an injury, not something more serious in his personal life. Seems like a great kid and a hard worker. Either way, if we're going to make a run, we need him.

The last several games he has been getting heavy duty stretches by trainers on the floor by the bench. We noticed last night that he was wearing full length leggings. Injury is plausible, but there just seemed to be an overall malaise about him. I miss the fierce Hoguey badger...

He always gets stretched out by the strength staff every game. In fact the after halftime routine is Hogue gets stretched out by strength staff and McKay chills on the bench while everyone else is out shooting.

I think it was more of ONeale torching him at the beginning of the game with 3's and then getting put on the bench for not playing defense that got in his head. Then he was trying to hard on offense thus turning the ball over.

Also, DH seems like the type who would take losing (and not performing well) very seriously. As in, letting it bother him emotionally. I think he is very attuned to his teammates, and probably felt like he was letting them down. Of course, this is the kind of player you want on your team. Still lots of ball left to be played.....Hogue will make some more 3's when the team really needs them, I think......

I'm not an athlete, so I don't really know how routine the stretching is. I've just been noticing it more because it seems like it's usually just him. The others don't need to stretch?

If the second part is true, I hope he gets past that. Last night wasn't his fault any more than losing the OSU game was Georges' fault because of that last freakin' Aaron Craft 3pt shot. It was a team loss...and it seemed like ALL of them were having trouble stopping those damn perimeter shots last night.

I say it's routine because he has done it after half time of every game this season.

Don't have any inside info but it looked like he was playing hurt - I'm guessing a knee. He was really laboring to get up and down the court with one leg dragging a bit behind. He had 13 minutes which is very rare for the Hoguey Badger. As a senior with a fierce competitive spirit can only imagine how frustrating it was for him.

Did anyone else watch his body language tonight? He was clearly upset and was visibly shaken right from the start. During the under 16 TO in the 1st half he distanced himself from the team, had his head buried in his hands and had a towel over his face. In the second half he was on the bench and had his head covered with a towel and between his knees, and Edozie and Matt were patting him on the back trying to console him. Something was clearly wrong with him, but I don't know if he was just frustrated or had an off night or what. He had 2 points, only shot twice and turned the ball over 4 times in just 13 minutes. Seemed out of character for him, just wondered if anyone saw it or had any insight.

Most noticible was hogues game. Made alot of mental mistakes

Actually, I meant routine for ALL athletes. Like I said, I haven't noticed any of the others getting that much attention. A couple of them have been worked on here & there, but not every single game.

Same things happening with Dustin again. Not trying to call him out but something has to be going on.

He's just out of it. I don't get it. Trying to do too much, trying to make passes that don't have to be made...

He seems really out of it and you can see him beating himself up for a mistake usually he hustles and works out of that but the hustle we've come to expect hasnt been there, hope what ever is going on gets fixed/healed we definitely need him.
