Horrible loss. Really makes me wonder. But sometimes you just have a bad week in hoops. I hope to God we get it turned around quickly. There is too much individual talent on this team to suck that bad. I think we'll get it corrected.

The Arkansas team that I saw wasn't as fast as people claimed and wasn't any good at running a half court offense (shocker since Anderson teams have NEVER been good at that). They didn't look wholly committed to the frenzy press and didn't react fast enough to take advantage of the trapping options that the system gives you or to recover if a team broke the pressure. In a system like that you either have to be 100% committed to it at full speed or you are doomed.

I thought the same thing. They did not look as fast as advertised and the trapping did seem half-assed. They'll probably still get better.

Why would you bring up Kansas when I was discussing Arkansas? Are you trying to derail this thread? Did you not learn to share your toys when you were a child?

Anderson's system usually only works when he has a very senior-laden team that has been running the system for their whole career. Next year is when they will be good with a solid group of seniors and juniors (if Portis is smart and returns for his junior year).
