No matter the situation, Altman sure seems to land some valuable players at various times, for various reasons. Usually comes out smelling like a rose, too.
 
Dillon Brooks committed to Oregon tonight and he will be a freshman this fall. I assume we were out the of running the minute he said he might re-classify back to 2014.

I respect Altman - I think he is a good coach - but, I think the reason he is getting good talent there goes far beyond his coaching abilities. Nike University and all of its "perks" can have a lot of allure for today's young athletes.
 
Damn. If we had a scholarship left, I'm sure he would've signed with us. Oh well. If we get Clarke and Diallo or Dime, I'll be a happy camper.

Yes and hopefully Tsalbo doesn't make us regret signing him. 3-4 years of Brooks in all likelihood will far exceed the Greek kid, but I hope I'm wrong.

While I agree with you, it is not like the staff knew Brooks was going to reclassify to the 2014 class when they signed Tsalmpouris.
