Explain. And what point are you trying to make with your comment?

You need an explanation?

The football program will be a consistent 7-8 win squad? Not happening.

The ball team will make the Sweet 16 most years? ISU's basketball program is strong right now but this comment is over the top. There are probably 4-6 teams in the country that can honestly expect to make the sweet 16 most years.

Top 5 game day experience in the nation for football and basketball? I don't even think this deserves a response, especially on the football side. Basketball is in the top 20 for sure and I wouldn't even argue much if he would have said possibly a top 10 atmosphere but top 5? No.

This causes me to chuckle (alot). Over the last few months, I periodically go over to the Bisonville football forum and read their fans comments about our upcoming game. (I am sure that a fair number of Bison fans come over to CF to read the comments of this posting.)

Here is the deal. As near as I can figure, about every third or fourth Bison poster basically states some version of the following: " Iowa State has one of the worst teams in all of major college football. " " Few teams in college football have won less games than Iowa State. " "Iowa States' football team is flat out bad and their loser fans don't seem to even realize how bad they actually are."

So then ponder this. I would say that the Bison better damn well win this game then. What is the true worth of three consecutive FCS championships if it is bracketed on both ends by losses to "one of the worst teams in all of major college football." All the pressure is on NDSU (it would seem to me). Three national titles bracketed with losses to Iowa State.

Now that is funny..........

Great. First the Bison fans, now the Hawk fans. What's next? Jayhawk fans? Maybe we should rename CF to "Nobody gives a $#!+ about your team" forum and just give them the website...

Why not? ISU has been investing more in its football program than ever before. In addition fan support/donations is at an all time high. If Rhoads isn't the answer then ISU will go out and find someone who can do it. It's not like Stormin said we would be expecting to consistently win 10+ games per season. It may be a few years down the road but it isn't too extraordinary of a feat. If you don't like my reply you can go back to Hawkeye Nation with the other 10 people who post there. They sure love talking about ISU over there.

An then some other times, while having a discussion with NDSU fans, here comes a Hok fan out of nowhere with nothing to contribute:

First of all, Jan banned me from HN.

Second, ISU is at best treading water when it comes to facility upgrades and fundraising when compared to the rest of the Big 12. It is extremely unlikely one of the worst BCS conference programs of all time is going to start regularly winning 7-8 games just by staying on equal footing in comparison to the rest of the conference.

Third, would you really trust Pollard to hire another football coach if Rhoads doesnt work out? He has failed miserably with every coach he has hired for a major sport, with the obvious exception of Hoiberg.

He is batting .200 after hiring a wrestling coach, 2 basketball coaches and 2 football coaches.

Funny Lakes refutes every post except the one confirming from an NDSU beat writer about the huge turnover in the program.

You get banned from HN so you come to Cyclone Fanatic and troll more. Makes sense.

I have been banned from HN for almost a year. I just started posting here regularly a couple months ago, maybe a little more.

And how am I trolling? An ISU fan said pretty much the exact thing I did a couple posts later. The expectations laid out regarding sweet 16's most years and consistent 7-8 win seasons in football are completely ridiculous.
