IMO there is no excuse for Markel Brown before either.

Markel is extremely athletic and won't be extremely undersized as a SG.

Intangibles. Good shooter, good hops, able to rebound really well for his size. A poor man's Kawhi Leonard.

He was a 6'5" guy at Pitt in the Ejim mold, but far more of a focal point on offense then Ejim ever was.

Brown is a pretty damn good basketball player. I would take Kane over him though.

Yeah, Markel Brown is a head scratcher, but that's just one GM. Kane was far better.
