Well done, Iowa. Well done. This is a map about which beer has the most tweets about it in a given location.

I only drink beer from local breweries. Yes Miller is local for me, but Miller Lite is gross and gives me a terrible headache.

And just think around 15 years ago we were known as a Natural Light state..

I wonder if the area's of not enough data were just too drunk to answer the survey.

Because its good and delicious

I'm all for it at a tailgate or out boating, but just grabbing one out of the fridge because I want a beer? No thanks. Give me a Sam Adams any day.

The only thing that impresses me about the big brewers is their quality control. Being able to brew as much beer as they do with essentially no variance in the product is amazing and shows a high level of detail (if you've ever brewed beer before it's even more impressive).

However, I'm not a fan in general.

Pretty easy to maintain low standards.

I think these maps are a load of crap. I'd bet there are at least 5 other beer companies that Iowan's tweet more about then Grain Belt.

OK this makes more sense

So the researchers looked at 14 of some of the highest-selling beers after the big four, and mapped the areas where tweets about them are particularly likely to come from.
