ranking predictions

I cannot believe Iowa is 23. Weak.

Voters seem to refuse to budge much from preseason rankings until a team loses, or enough teams below it get big wins to jump ahead. That's allowed Iowa to hold steady despite playing a weak schedule so far. (And getting massive blowouts doesn't hurt, either).

But if voters spent even a little time each week and base rankings on games that have actually been played, there would be a lot more movement. And Louisville wouldn't still be ranked above North Carolina after losing head-to-head (UL's schedule had been as bad as Iowa's to that point).

14th or 15th in AP (will jump UNC and Memphis and likely Uconn for losing to stanford) I lean towards 14th a 5 spot drop for losing to a mediocre opponent at home is warranted for UConn.

12th in coaches poll. (Only jump Uconn already ahead of memphis and UNC)
