Hello all! So I'm going to be going to college at St. John's University right outside of St. Cloud and I was wondering if Iowa State games are carried up in the St. Cloud area. I just got cyclones.tv so I can watch the UNI game, but I'm worried I won't be able to watch all the other games. Does anyone one live in the area that could tell me? Otherwise, any advise on finding the games online, or will cyclones.tv work for that? I really just want to know how to watch all the games this year.

Yes you should be able to if you have the channel that the games are usually broadcasted on. I think its tbs or something. I can't remember but I got the West Virginia game last year over Thanksgiving break and I live in Detroit Lakes.

The only TV that has been decided yet:

UNI - Cyclones.tv
Iowa - Fox Sports 1
Tulsa - Fox Sports 1
Texas - ESPN

I believe that all remaining games will be on Fox Sports 1, FOX, FSN (still?), or the ABC/ESPN family of networks

Ok, good, cuz I don't want to miss any games this year. I've gotten too invested in this team during the off season to not watch every game!

I guess my only thing with Fox Sports 1 is, will that be a standard national station thing? I suppose I should learn what type of cable St. John's has before asking all these question though.

I was curious, so I looked it up. It appears that FS1 will show multiple games at once during some slots and break it up geographically.

Here is part of their lineup for the day we play Iowa:

3:00pm - Ball State @ North Texas
5:00pm - Iowa @ Iowa State
6:30pm - Lamar @ Oklahoma State

So, I don't know for sure but I would imagine that a large majority of the country (including MN) will get the Iowa-ISU game.

And on the Thursday night of the Tulsa game, we are the only game on FS1 so it will be national coverage. The same is true of the Texas game - fully national on ESPN.

EDIT: I forgot about Fox Sports 2. Maybe the Ball State-UNT and Lamar-OSU games will be on Fox Sports 2 that day instead. Will FS2 have CFB? Those games are all listed as "Fox Sports 1" on the ESPN schedule, so I don't know.

Well, it would appear I'm set for the first four games. Which is good news for me and for the program considering its getting more national coverage. Hopefully it continues throughout the season!

From what I saw, it'd be an overflow channel for fox sports 1 for live events. I'm assuming that could mean it would get some CFB; otherwise, I would say no.

Off Topic: I was convinced you were Cowgirl's hubby until this thread.

Note to Cowgirl's real hubby: CowmasterX would be a great login ID.

TV coverage for ISU FB in MN for the basic cable package was awful last year so hopefully the new TV network deal shows great improvement.

P.S. The Johnnies suck (I go to a rival conference school of theirs)

Close, it's the Tommie's from St. Thomas

Actually no the Tommies are an even bigger rival. It's a less reputable school you've probably never heard of and is really nothing to brag about, but we are the Bethel Royals so at least we kind of have a real nickname unlike the other schools

I am not so sure about the Oles or the Gusties either

I have more respect for you knowing you are not a Tommy. However, since I know little of Johnnie tradition, I'm sure I'll grow in hatred of you soon enough :D
