D'Vario Montgomery

So did he ever make it to Ames today?

Oh and that premium content stuff is bs. If you want to pay to feel better about yourself and avoid all the stuff that imo makes cf so great then more power to you. Do you get to share ups and downs of each others lives (kids births just look at the cyrevkah and eric thread) and give each other advice on cars, tv serivce, how to fix something or just general talk over there?

I'd be quite surprised if Montgomery was/is actually in Ames. I tend to believe that TB Times sportswriter who said he talked to his HS coach who said that Montgomery was home planning visits. I think that HS coach may be his cousin, too.
 
All this talk about his stats lacking in his senior year should really take a look at his offer list. Obviously they see something you didn't. Why did he commit to USF anyways?
 
I've seen lazards highlight tape and I wasn't overly impressed either. Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve his ranking. Wide receiver can be a tough position for a hs kid to stand out. They rely heavily on having a competent qb obviously

Yeah - Montgomery's qb his senior year really sucked: US Army All-American and Elite11 MVP.

but... I saw Montgomery play a couple times in high school and he was a man among boys.

Agreed. Thats why I dont recruit high school football players for a D1 college.

It was because he had a good relationship with the coach. Since then, he took a job with Louisiana Tech. I think he might have been fired from USF.

Coach in question was Dr. Lou's boy, Skip. He was fired from USF after three years. Didn't they beat the Domers in one of his first games as coach?

From what I can find, he was given permission to transfer to East Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Southern Miss, and Iowa State. As of yesterday he was trying to set up official visits to Maryland, Southern Miss, and Iowa State. It was also mentioned he is looking to make a decision by tomorrow.

All of that info is from yesterday afternoon so a lot could have changed between now and then.
 
Any new happenings on Montgomery? He was reportedly going to decide today, hope he picks the cyclones.

Now whether or not that thread is based on the fact that he is transferring away from USF or the fact that they actually know he is coming here, that is another thing entirely.

Would be a huge move though, and the scholarship is now open with DA Williams not qualifying.

I heard it was WV. Seriously it's 7am and he's probably not even awake yet. Take your ADD medicine and chill out
 
@gregauman: Ex-USF WR D'vario Montgomery still in Tampa today, lining up official visits to Iowa State, Maryland, Southern Miss, HS coach Moffett says.

Sounds like he may of never made it to Ames, at least not yet. This was tweeted yesterday.
 
Does he need to be enrolled by Monday in order to be eligible for all of 2014?
