I know I'll get hammered for this after a great win but... I worry about Will's confidence, some nights he looks confident and ready to attach the basket, especially at home, but at times he seem aprehisive and unsure. anybody else see this?

Absolutely and I've noticed it big time after he gets stuffed going to the rim early in the game once or twice. No joke. Go back on some of his bad games and I guarantee you he was stuffed a few times going for a layup early in the game.

I just couldn't believe how Smart just took it from him 10 seconds after he had another steal.

And then had an over and back on himself.

But I still love the guy.

Good thing he can still drop 20 on a night that he doesn't have confidence. That said. I think he hurt his elbow pretty good in the 1st half

I still think it is a matter of game flow for him. If it is uptempo, he is fine and can do his thing. If it slows down on either end and turns into a half-court game, he struggles. Just my humble opinion.

Dont get me wrong I LOVE Will... He is a big key to this team... I just think he get's intimimated too easily... he's way too good. and sometimes I just dont think he believes in himself.

I also think it matters on who is on him because Will is a drive first player. If the guy can stay in front of him on his drives he doesn't have a step back mid-range game.

This is a great observation

I think this is a big part of it. If it's a guy that can body him and stay with him while playing him physically he struggles. If not he is an extremely good player. I had no idea he had 20 tonight.

Will lacks strength and he's a little uncoordinated. Were it not for that, he would be averaging about 20 ppg, and well on his way to the NBA.

Fred touched on this in the post game. He said Will is great when he shoots in rhythm, not when he does the "jab step, jab step, jab step" 3 pointer. Personally, I think he is our Scotty Pippen. When he plays a complimentary role, he can be great. When we rely on him to be "the Man", he struggles.
