I was really looking forward to hearing them refer repeatedly to our game as one of the best of 2011.
At one level, we won the game by the way we shut down Weeden and Blackmun in the first quarter. It probably would have been a much different game if their offense had clicked and jumped out to a typical big lead. We held them to one offensive touchdown (on a really good play by Blackmun) in the first half.
Watching all these crazy circus catches by OSU's receivers again makes it even more impressive that we ended up winning this game.
Drove back from chicago to go to this game with my now wife. Unbelievable. saw LSU play earlier that year so figured I would see the national champion play or unbelievable upset... Was incomplete shock when woody scored.
The more I see that catch by Money, the more amazing it gets. That just a sweet leaping catch!
That's my only beef when people on this site say LJ "shut down" Blackmon. If LJ made that play, then I consider him shut down. LJ was in great position, but that's just Justin being Justin, and unless you stop that, you don't shut him down.
