I was in a class group with Jeff Grayer during his second go-round at ISU (super nice guy, btw). I once watched Vroman pace aimlessly for about 30 minutes around my buddies backyard dressed head to to in black at about 6 a.m. I also once saw Tinsley park an Escalade in the middle of Welch Ave (not in a parking space) to go into Lasting Impressions for a good 45 minutes.

I was at a Women's basketball game earlier this year. Bought a pretzel, turned around and almost ran into Barnett. I believe this was during the bye week before the OSU game. It looked like he was with LJ and another player I didn't recognize.

On my very first trip to ISU for a college visit in the fall of 1997, there was an organized lunch at the Lied Rec center. Hakeem Abdel-Khaliq (how many people remember him?) was there shooting around. I couldn't understand why he was still at ISU since he was a senior earlier that year, so my dad had to explain it to me...and that's how I learned what grad school is.

Later in that day, I watched Colorado beat us in football in the closing seconds of the game. It would have been ISU's first victory over Colorado in my lifetime.

Rahshon clark play intramural soccer on our team for a indoor game. I kept praying he wouldn't get hurt. Shot around with blallock at the rec, he was dating a friend on a friend. she was also on our soccer team, hence why Rahshon played with us.

Chris Williams came to my apt party in 2004. Back when he was on the cyclone sport talk channel that had a really fuzzy picture. He pulled out the old "do you know who i am" line. Haha

I had Ennis Haywood on my intramural basketball team.....some dude took a charge against him driving down the lane. I was worried for that guy.

I have a bunch of books that have pictures of WBB, MBB, and football players in them. Had to pay for them though. I've seen them being sold at games.

Ran around with Mike Born, Terry Woods, Paul Dorfeild (sp), and was good friends with Fred's older brother so knew him quite well. He hasn't changed his philosophy on how basketball should be played one bit. Game plans and recruiting match what he was talking about over 20 years ago.

I know infamous ex-Cyclone Trent Flander pretty well. I was drinking in Larch the night he got arrested and subsequently kicked out of ISU. He lived next door to my brother, and when he transferred to NIACC after getting booted here, he got to know some of my friends from back home really well. They all went to UNI together after NIACC and he was the best man one of their wedding's this past summer.

Kid definitely got his head on straight after the incident, but he's still one of the most entertaining people you will ever party with. World's best Harry Caray impression. Isn't at all bitter about his experience here either.

I bought football tickets from Dave Archer to the ISU Iowa football game and then watched Archer kick Iowa's ***. Unfortunately, the dark ages in that series started after that game.
