Re: How can we make so many mistakes after 2 weeks

LJ's personal foul was a huge momentum changer. Its pathetic how much this team turns the ball over too, there is no excuse.

I thought watching Nebraska get beat might cheer me up. HORRIBLE idea.

Is a team we were a point from beating last year really the best in the Big Ten? Jesus.

Pile on LJ like at UNLV, it was not smart but it was minor. We are giving the refs just what they want, a reason to give the longhorns the game. Everything went their way wether we committed a foul or gave a turnover, but every call for isu is reviewed and no slum calls going against Texas. LJ plays with energy and commitment, and grit. The only thing wrong with the state of Ia us we don't want to get dirty or see the dirt. Football us mean and nasty, if you want choir boys go to KU with Turner Gill.

Btw, Steele isn't what we thought

This is to dumbest thing I think I have ever read... What is he supposed to do, block for himself when he hikes the ball, throw the ball and catch the ball himself, and then also play defense?? Come on! The whole team is to blame, get ******* real..

Finding some good news

Let's try to look at the bright side of things

1. We were only outgained by 40 yards in the first half
2. This is just one game. It doesn't matter how much you lose by because 1 game is 1 game.

Son. Of. A. B****. I was just saying that I really wish we had lost a game due to these same stupid mistakes before playing UT. CPR now has a chance to whip some *** and show these guys how stupid their petty mistakes are. Nice job UT of taking advantage. I can't say you're beating us, because we're beating ourselves. We just look completely undisciplined.

I was also thinking of UNLV after the LJ penalty....

Eh, I'm over it now. Mack Brown has never shown an ounce of class before, so I don't know why I expected him to start now. Really, he's perfect for the University of Texas and their fans and alumni.

He has to prove a point for Texas. We beat them last year at home. He is proving how good teams win football games on the Road. We should take a lesson from this and start doing it in the future. I'd rather be called a bunch of ******** and win a national championship than people patting us in the head for what great losers we are. **** THIS ****!

Yes, this is a meltdown.

His was bad, worst offense for sure, but just look at this game, it seems that every series there is a new guy who's ******* up or ISU. How about Osemele's brain fart when we couldn't afford it? This team lacks discipline and its more and more evident every week. I am really beginning to believe we are doomed as a fan base. **** this school, it's time to move on. I give and give and give every year, financially, emotionally and what do I get back? 2002, 2004, 2005, Utah last year, Texas this year, was it 17 in a row from Iowa? I'm a 41 year old man, if you were to look at my fandimonium on paper, you'd call me insane.

My GF is a Nebraska fan, and it is really, really hard to convince her not to be. Take tonight, as a fantastic example. While Iowa State is getting totally blown away AT ******* HOME, Nebraska is playing a really competitive game ON THE ROAD against a decent Wisconsin team.

Yeah, Steele is playing his heart out.

needs to get out his water-walking shoes, though

good luck with that

I have a question for the board..lets find games on national TV that ISU looked good and made us proud. I'll start with the 2001 NCAA BB game against UCLA.

Texas MBB 2004/5, Minnesota MBB in NCAA 2005, Nebraska FB 2009, Minnesota Insight Bowl 2010, Texas FB 2010, Iowa FB 2011, UConn FB 2011. I'm sure there are more.

I think it's obvious at this point that Jantz doesn't know how to handle this Texas D. I hope they keep it under 60...

Would I be considered a bad fan if I bailed on the game and went to root for Wisky? I can't stand this crap ... again ... its been every game this season and as the announcers said .... this ain't UNI, it ain't Iowa, and it ain't UConn. Make turnovers against the Longhorns and you have no chance to win.

Tell that to the national media. Granted we have the rest of the season, I'll give you that. I still think Rhoads has one for OU, they are due, but we have to get this blowout monkey off our backs or we will always be looked at as the Iowa State Hawkeyes. There is a reason we have no national relevance. This game proves why that is.
