My 2 year old doesn't really have any memorable things she's said yet - half the time I'm just trying to figure out what she is saying. However, I can tell she has a lot going on upstairs, especially when she gets this devious look in her eyes. She'll start looking out the corners of her eyes back and forth, grin forming slowly as if she's plotting something. Just like her daddy.
Anyway, she pulled the "sweetest" thing last night (or at least mommy thought so). You have to realize that my wife's feet are so sensitive that just implying that you are going to tickle her causes her to break down laughing uncontrollably. I just have to twitch my finger in that general tickling motion and she can't help herself. The fun part is my daughter is showing signs of being as ticklish as my wife. Even more fun is she's often a co-conspirator in daddy tickling mommy's feet. Even moreso is she goes after mommy's feet when daddy has nothing to do with it.
Anyway, my daughter was being stubborn in getting ready for bed last night. I wanted her to give me a hug and kiss goodnight, and instead was hiding from daddy. I said to her "come give daddy hug and kiss goodnight or I tickle mommy's feet!" Mommy begins laughing uncontrollably as usual, because she doesn't know what our daughter is going to do at this point. Our daughter surprises both of us at this point and shouts out "NO, NO DADDY!!!", but instead of coming over to daddy to give me my hug and kiss, she runs most of the way over, stops, and sticks out her foot, willing to take the tickling herself so mommy doesn't have to suffer. Never saw that coming, but it was one of the cute things she has ever done.
