Will Conan be better than Leno?

I think he will be, however, I'm going to miss Conan on late night, because he is going to have to class the show up a little bit since he is on earlier.
As far as funny? Definitely. Leno's always got better guests than, say, Letterman, I think mostly because he's based on the west coast. As long as they continue to book good guests for Conan his show will be way better than it was with Leno, IMO.
I think it's a generational thing on preference. I think Conan is hilarious, and as Letterman ages, Conan is surpassing him.

I just think it depends on your comedic tastes. I like Leno's humor, I understand a lot of people don't. Letterman is certainly the best interviewer of the three, Conan has the advantage as to him being a former writer, so I think he's naturally funnier than the other two (he had to learn how to be in front of the camera, which took years, but he's comfortable in front of it now), and Leno had access to more stars than the other two.
Oh, come on - anyone that can't manage to click "For me to poop on!" shouldn't be selecting "He already is" as their option...
This is my perfect list, too. Leno will occasionally throw in those newspaper clippings, too (which are similar to the wedding names) - that keeps him on the list (but barely). If you could throw Craig Kilborne back in there, he'd probably hit #2 or 3.

Ratings wise, Leno ruled the 10:35 PM (Central time) slot pretty consistently for the last decade. In that regard, Conan has big shoes to fill.
According to a discussion I heard on one of the local CBS-owned radio stations last week, Leno is a very personable, genuinely friendly person outside of the show. Letterman apparently is rather opposite, and his "friendliness" on the show (such as it is) is mostly contrived. The theory that the people involved in this discussion had was that viewers pick up on this, and tend toward the genuine personality, even though Letterman might actually be "funnier". They weren't particulalry complementary of Letterman. I found that quite interesting coming from a CBS-owned station.
Personally, I've felt that way about Letterman for some years now. The guy is just dark and seems like he's continually got an axe to grind, and I just don't care for that before going to bed (I get enough of that during the day). The only redeeming quality I find in his show is Paul Shaffer and his band, who do an excellent job with the music.
I haven't heard much about Conan's off-air personality. He seems to relate well to people. I enjoyed his show, so I hope he does well.

I don't know, he seemed pretty adamant on his last Late Night show that he was going to get to do that show his way. We'll see if he wins that battle of wills with the network I guess.
Oooo, see I never liked Kilborn. The whole arrogance thing he had going on was probably part of the act, but I just didn't like it all that much.
Big, big question mark. I never thought much of Leno's artificial humor. But Conan...I can't stand looking at the guy, much less listening to him. What's up with the crazy hair? And honestly, I just have never seen him as funny. Who knows, maybe it is a generational thing.
I still say Johnny Carson on a bad day was much, much better than any of these imposters. Carson's best humor was not in his staged monologues (although they were certainly funny), but in his across the desk banter with his guests. That's when you saw the real Johnny Carson. Those in the younger generation who never got to see him missed a true master comic. He was simply the best.
