RTT...20-20 hindsight.

Dead guy house next door finally listed for sale after going through all of the lawsuits and foreclosure stuff. Needs ton-o-work since the flat roof continued to leak all of that time. And heard it's under contract so sold "as is". Will be interesting to see what they are going to do with the house/lot. Guessing a partial teardown.

And three doors up the divorcing couples house sold. New peeps moved in this weekend. Just saw the assumed patriarch walking two little miniature foo foo dogs. Will see if the dogs become my friends or not.
You could always tell him you know some owls..

Had to leave work early today, had a severe muscle spasm in my back. Bent over to start shooting a wall together and felt a pop and immediately yelled out in pain. Couldn't bend over anymore. Driving home hurt so bad. Been using heat and ice and it's slowly loosening up. My back had been so good this whole year...

Sounds like a L vertebrae shifted.

Laser eye surgery on Friday. Right eye. Glaucoma - to improve drainage and thereby reduce pressure.

Said procedure would be a breeze. Which it pretty much was.

The single sheet of paper given (during eval the week before) listed possible blurred vision in the first 24 hours. And eye "mildly irritated" for 1-2 days.

Friday night I noticed pain in the eye when I opened it but not intense. Went to bed thinking it'll probably be better in the AM.

Woke up at 4:30 to do that thing old men have to do in the middle of the night. Left lights out and then stumbled into the kitchen to get a drink of water out of the fridge. When I opened the door and the light hit my eye it was like I was just hit in the eye by a fastball. Intense pain. Hmmm. No mention of light sensitivity as a side effect? Slight panic...

No emergency number on the one sheet. Found a phone number on the co-pay bill. Fortunately they have an emergency answering service and a Dr on Call. Who called me back about 30 minutes later and arranged to meet me at the closed office at 8:30, being Saturday.

Dilated the eye. Numbed the eye. Looked around and gave me some steroid drops. 3 per day... As the day went on the light sensitivity mellowed and I felt like it was going to be good.

Nope. Woke up Sunday morning and there was a filmy haze on the eye.
Called the emergency # and got the same on-call dr. Said to keep taking the drops and made an appointment for me for today. Said if it was clear(er) today I could cancel.

Woke up this morning and it's worse...

Went to appointment. Now I keep taking the steroid drops but increased to 5 times per day instead of 3. I couldn't even read the largest letters.

Stay tuned for future developments.

I guess we'll see how this turns out. At least I hope you see . . . .

I had lasik and I was pretty much good to go, only issue was the numbing drops didn’t work in the first eye so I felt the whole cut of the lens.

Oh, I don't like hearing this. My eye doc told me at my last exam that I have early signs of glaucoma. Add that to my slowly forming cataracts and it looks like good times are in my future. :(

Doctor today said this is not common. Not UNcommon, but not common. I just can't believe there was absolutely no mention of it on the sheet. Usually they warn you if there's a chance of a hangnail 30 days later.

I thought it was "In whatever comes our way." But that's just what I sang, I never looked it up.

Yup. You are. But the crazy thing is, for the last nearly 60 years I've been singing the next line as "Yeah, God, I'm gonna make it happen"!

:oops::rolleyes:

Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin', go and make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
