It was lost. Apparently the guys were rolling it back to storage and it got away from them on the Lincoln Way Hill, and disappeared at high speed into the night.

Nope and he doesn't have kids either. Plus, if he did, it wouldn't be a big deal as he's just storing it. It's not that deep dude, it just shoots blank shotgun shells and the firing mechanism is locked up. You're acting as if he has a nuke in his garage.

Uses 12 gauge shells & shoots tennis balls. I’d use quotation marks around the word cannon. An acetylene torch powered potato gun would put that thing to shame.

It’s neat for the first time or two to hear the boom, but then it’s the same thing. More exciting to launch stuff from a compressed air cannon and hit stuff.

Had a friend that would build potato launchers out of PCV pipe growing up and bring it out to the farm to launch them across the creek.

My brother spent the night in jail with the honorable Tom Latham in about 1970-71. I will ask if they were involved with the cannon. That will make him laugh. (My Dad told me once it was fake IDs.)

Firing a golf ball late, late at night from the cannon down the street between Beyer and State Gym without hitting anything was pretty cool too.
