Goodness gracious - Iowa State uniforms in 1981 were freaking elite. Absolute perfection, including that helmet!
Nelson and Reiners to the NFL.
Some of those aren't bad, but I hate the fire engine red. One thing ESPN actually gets right is they always have the right shade of cardinal in our graphics. Fox gives us cherry red and it makes the I-State logo look so cheap and generic.

Saw that. That is a downgrade. Looks cheesy/cheap. That's one of those things that didn't need to be noticable, didn't need to change. Hope they switch that back.
This is bigger than just football obviously but the number font (Cyclone athletic font) does not look good on this iteration of the jerseys. The very first post in this thread (1st CMC redesign) - the font was great. Wasn't too big, wasn't stretched, wasn't randomly "bolded" for some numbers and randomly skinny or weirdly long for other numbers. Everything was symmetrical. This same issue occurred around 2014 when Nike changed the chassis (end or Rhoads era) and absolutely deformed the numbers; same font, but just absolutely butchered and stretched. This lasted through the 1st 2 years of the CMC era as well. Cannot understand who approved that and thought that looked OK... That same issue is happening now. And that is an Iowa State thing, not a Nike thing, as my understanding is that we apply the numbers. We are choosing to stretch and resize and reshape certain numbers in certain situations, and that just flat out looks really bad.
Anyway - in basketball, the throwback golds and whites - both use a more traditional block numbering font. It is generic but it still has a uniqueness to it. THAT is the font to use for the football unis. I understand there's all sorts of rules in keeping things in sync across uniforms and the branding and the sports, yada, yada, yada. Respectfully, screw that. Please Dear Uniform Decision Makers That Likely Are Not Reading This - Please swap out the number font on all football jerseys, instant major win. Oh and yeah, please kindly undo this recent patch tweak; it ain't it.

Concur I don't know why we have to add a border to the 5 bar logo. It makes it look like a house or something. Looked cleaner with just the bars. But oh well.
Also concur with the football unis. I think overall the current ones are cleaner than the previous ones but are definitely very boring and generic. Like we just picked the genetic jersey template. The previous font was unique at least. I liked it.

It better be Meta, Microsoft, or Google for as many data centers they have in Iowa.
Hy-Vee or Casey's will look so tacky on the uniforms. Hopefully it's Pioneer or their parent company Corteva. Something with a logo not words, a logo would look cleaner.
